Little C's Christmas Everyday Challenge - Day 5

Yea, I've been crazy busy... I skipped day 4 and created on day 5... used HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyls) to make our names on these handmade stockings (which I bought, and didn't make). If you read my blog and see your handmade stockings, I wanted to say thank you so much for your hard work!! These were found at the Double Four Tree Farm. There was a little store there, where we purchased our Christmas Trees, and in the little store was where we'd pay for the trees and they also had ornaments and other handmade items in there. Very cute store. They also served Hot Cocoa, Apple Cider n' Coffee... fun day for all of our Ohana!!!

Here are how the stockings turned out, and my video after the pics to share with you how I did them.

My video... enjoy!!!

Here is the video... I share the products I used, and a handy crafty tip too!!! Enjoy!!!

Day 2 - Jen's Little C's Christmas Everyday Challenge

Aloha Gang! It's Day 2 of my Christmas Everyday Challenge, and the Christmas thingy I am sharing with you is 1 that the "Son" (Jesus) is within me, and I am not here in WA to see the "Sun" but to the the "Son"... and if he is within me, then the "Son" is wherever I go. So, Thank You Jesus for always being with me, wherever I go, and being the light that I always need to stay out of the darkness.

The other Christmas thingy I am sharing with you is my Christmas Decor at my house. Today, I did my entire tree white, and most of the decor is white, like snow kine. I am not sure if it's going to snow or not this Christmas, but it's pretty cold, that I feel like it should be snowing. Haha!!

Anyways, here is my video, and here are a couple of pics to share with you of the beautiful day it was here in WA. Scroll down to view my video of my Christmas Decor....

Thanks for stopping by n' thanks for watching!

Aloha,
Jen

Storing Photo Christmas Cards

What to do with all those Christmas photo cards you received?? Here's an idea..... I took a 5 x 7 spiral bound notebook, and affixed a Christmas card to each page, I used ATG tape (double sided tape).

For the cards that have pics on both sides, I affixed the cards using washi tape to one edge of the card, so that I can flip the card and see the other side easily.

I also wrote the family's mailing address on the same page, so that I will have it ready for next year! (You can see it blacked out on the bottom/side of the pages). My pastor's wife says her n' her hubby pulls out a card each day, and pray for each family. This is a great idea, and with this book, just gotta turn the page each day and pray for a new family each day.

I hope that this idea has inspired you to store your photo Christmas Cards this way. I still have plenty of room for upcoming years of photos, and love that I can keep them all in one place, AND it isn't too bulky like photo albums.

Aloha,
Jen

Finished Christmas Bear Tags And A Busy Weekend!!!

Happy Monday Blessed Friends!!! How was your weekend?? Ours was So BUSY!!! I attended 3 parties this weekend.... and it just seems to get crazier n' busier as we approach Christmas. :) But Praise God, HE keeps me busy for HIS Kingdom, and I'm happy to be doing just that. :)

First, I had my hair done on Friday... I had the highlights removed (or toned down), and then the colors blended to an ombre look. Just thought I'd wanna do something different, so my hair stylist did just that. I was attending a Women's Church function that evening, so I asked for her to curl my ends... she did a spectacular job!!!!

Then here are some pics from the evening's festivities.... my sistahs of the same Heavenly Father!

On Saturday from 9am - 3pm, we went Christmas shopping... what a LONG day that was, and at night, we attended our friend's party, who lived up the street... they had a bunch of door prizes and games, karaoke and just a lot of fun hanging out and eating together. On Sunday, we headed to church, and then to our church's Baptism event. I helped with taking pics of those that were baptized. Then at night, another Christmas party with our Bible Fellowship next door. Phew!!! What a weekend. I am pooped..... but there is no stopping yet. Gotta get to WORK and jamm this week, so that I can finish everything before next weekend... accccckkkk!!!! Christmas is right around the corner!!!!!

I was able to finish the Bear tags, so wanted to share with you how they turned out... so here ya go!!!!

I am able to cut and create 15 at a time, which is a miracle for me, cause I don't like to create mutiples, but I guess it is because these are NEEDED, so I just gotta make them?? I just love that I have this availability to create them at any needed moment. Thank You, Lord!!!  As you've seen from my previous post, I cut these images out on my Sizzx eClips2 machine. I first printed them on my printer, using the Print 2 Cut feature on the eCal program. Then cut them out. Used glue to layer the tags, and foam tape dimensionals from SU! to pop the bear. I have a bunch of dimensionals from SU!, and I wanna use them up so that I can move on to the next set of foam tapes I have. Are you like me?? I have to finish them all up, before opening a new package. And I want to open and use the foam tape packages that I purchased from FSJ, but just can't do it until I'm done with these!!! LOL!!!!  Anyways, I put a light blue ribbon through the hole, and then tied the ribbon with a silver cord. It turned out SO cute!!!!

Today, I am working on making more tags. Will hope to share them with you here soon!!! Have a blessed week. Take your time in doing things... have a "Merry Christmas" and not a "Martha Christmas"....

With Love In Christ,
Jen

Happy 13th Birthday Son

My boy turned 13 yesterday... so blessed to see the young man he is growing into. Praying that he will continue to seek the ways of the Lord, and know that he is loved loved loved by all of his family.  I pray that he will be able to overcome all obstacles in life, and that in every aspect, he will always keep his mind & heart set on the Lord, so that he will know in which way he must go. :)   I just put this LO together real quick, so I could post on to FB. didn't really do much embellishments but the wording. Pics are all from within this year, except for the one in the upper right hand, I believe he was about 3 years old when that one was taken. Just wanted to add a before n' after pic...

Here's what I'm working on today... I'm sure gonna be working on more. Making some Christmas tags. Trying to make as many as possible at one time. The Sizzix eClips2 surely comes in handy for me during these time that I need a lot of things to be cut. Gonna be using LSHD digital images on my Christmas tags. So Easy!!!!

Jen

Merry Christmas "Christmas Pals"

Aloha!!! I pray your Saturday is being blessed and that you are enjoying your weekend. May you remember that God loves you, no matter where you are in life, what you're doing and what you're struggling with. He has a plan for you, and you have purpose in this world. Know that HE loves you and sees and knows your pain. Continue to strive towards the Lord, and seek HIS comfort.

Another blessed Saturday, indeed. Continuing to pray for the family that lost their mom, sister, daughter, wife, aunty to a tragic murder. The families mourn, the city mourns, the island and state mourns about these ruthless murders that have occurred in these last couple of days. Not one but two murders. I am continuing to pray for these families.

As I listen to my bird chirp, it's like they are telling me to hurry up and share my project. :) I created a couple more Christmas cards. Having a great time with these cards. This time, I used #SS-0483 "Christmas Pals" from Fun Stampers Journey, for this card. Pieced together Santa's Head. For his beard and furry on cap, I used Whip Cream Ink and  White Embossing Powder. This easily covers up his face and the pink doesn't show thru. No die set for this stamp set, so each piece was fussy cut.

Also, we are on day #3 of 12 Days of Deals at Fun Stampers Journey. Fun Fun Fun!!!! The promotion for today is 5 jars of Sequences for $15, regularly priced at $30!!!! Also there is a $5 flat rate charge during this 12 day promotion, don't miss out on that. You don't need to have any sale products in your cart, just needs to be on a customer order. :)  If you're a current Coach, you will also receive an add'l 20% discount off of these promotions. So GREAT sale for us!!!

Head on over to my site at www.funstampersjourney.com/jenyoung and you can order these sequences in a bundle using item #BD-0362 for Journey Sequins Bundle. This bundle includes: $15.00 $30.00 324-325 Pink World / AC-0112 324-325 Blue Skies / AC-0113 324-325 Bloom Time / AC-0114 324-325 Special Celebrations / AC-0115 324-325 Holiday Celebrations / AC-0116 324-325

My Christmas Tree Is Up

Hubby gave me $200 to buy a Christmas Tree, and he said "bebe-girl, use the change to buy you more craft supplies"..... ðŸ˜‹ðŸ˜‚🤣🌲

LOL!! Just kidding... everyone on Facebook got a kick outtah this photo. It's not even mines, it's a pic I took off the net. I've been seeing this same "joke" going around within the craft community. I thought it was too funny not to share. My hubby let's me buy anything, and if it was this small tree, he would be happy too. LOL.

But, here is my real tree... it is a handmade wooden crafted cross made by my next door neighbor. He made this for us last year, and I've had it out in the garden. But I think it has grown on me, to keep it in the house. The weather could easily beat it up and strip away it's natural features. So, ya, I brought it into the house, decked it out with some lights... and tada!!! My Christmas Cross.... Merry CHRISTmas to YOU!!!!!

The weather is getting colder... eeks... 64 degrees where I live... saw 54 and 42 in other parts of the island. Brrrrrr.... I'm working on a last minute Christmas card order. Which I said I wasn't gonna take any more orders of, but this one is for a sweet friend of mines. So, I didn't mind doing it for her. I hope to finish them by today!!   Have a blessed day!!!!

With Love In Christ,
Jen

Mele Kalikimaka

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Sharing these adorable Pineapple Christmas Cards. The pineapple is a die cut from Hero Arts. The stamped sentiment from Island Paperie, located on Maui. I purchased that sentiment several years ago, when my gf Ann and I visited and made a new friend, that hired her to do a watercolor class for her. It was something that I wouldn't have ever done. But, I also didn't want Ann to go alone. So we both went together, and made a new friend, Kathy, who brought us to this store that I was able to buy the stamp from. :)

Thanks for dropping by. Hope your weekend is a blessed one!!

Thanksgiving Is Over

Aloha Crafty Friends!!!

Now that Thanksgiving is over... it's time for the Christmas RUSH! LOL... honestly, I finished most of my Christmas shopping online for my family n' friends, done the day after Thanksgiving. Now, just gotta do the finishing touches of some of our family on the mainland, my boys n' my parents. So glad that I got majority of it done. However, that doesn't mean that I'm free to do anything... actually, December is the craziness and busiest for me as a wife to my hubs. Because he is invited to Christmas Company's Parties, and we are blessed to go and show our appreciation for their business. It's fun. We always see the same peeps every year, and look forward to the next year of seeing them again. :) God is GOOD!!!!  So, unfortunately, I won't be hosting any Crafty Sessions until' January, 2018.

^This is a pic of our turkey that my hubby made for Thanksgiving. He always blesses us by cooking up a feast for Thanksgiving. I have never made a turkey in my life. Which I'm sad to say, because I so want to make one. But he insists on making it every Thanksgiving, so just gonna be happy n' enjoy the blessing that the Lord has given me... my hubby!!!!  We usually host a big gathering, but we decided to take a break and just have a quiet Thanksgiving together, as family. It was really nice to have a lot of left overs this year. LOL!!!

So today, I am sharing with you a few cards that I had made, starting with these cards that I made to complete the Birthday Card order I had. I am no longer taking card/project orders for the rest of the year, because I'm working on Christmas cards for myself. LOL!

Here are the 2 cards that completed my Birthday Card order:

Here's what I used:

  • Pineapple Image: LSHD Digitals
  • Hula Girl: Create In Me Stamp (Colored w/Copics)
  • Pennant Die Cut: Lawn Fawn (Used on FSJ Platinum Machine)
  • Twine: Amazon
  • Cardstock, DSP, Sentiment: Stampin' Up!
I also decided that I was gonna make and send out handmade cards this year. Thanks Ali for the encouragement n' push to create handmade instead of photo cards. I gotta make at least 50. Have already made 16? But here are a few I worked on...

I'm working on 4 at a time. Praying that with this goal, I'll be done way before Christmas.

Here's what I used to create the cards above:

  • Moose, Stars & Stripes: LSHD Digitals (Moose is a Print2Cut on my eClips2 machine).
  • Twine: FSJ
  • Cardstocks: Stampin' Up!
  • Sentiment: My Stash (unknown)
I'll be sharing more of my Christmas projects so stay tuned!!  Thanks for visiting.

Jen

"F" is for "Flurries"

Aloha and welcome back to another week of Alphabet Challenges!!! We are on the letter "F" this week, and I am going with "F" is for "Flurries" -  First let's take care of last week's winner.... Our winner was:

Thank you all that participated. Moving on to my sample.... I am continuing to work on my Rolodex Birthday Calendar.. so here is the month of December's cover. Love that Little Scraps of Heaven Designs has a cut that celebrates the Lord's birth. This set is called "A Child is Born". The background paper has the "FLURRIES" that I am using as the sample for this week's challenge.

Here is a photo of the cover in the Rolodex file. I still have to think of how I'm going to show the birthdays. There is still a lot of room in this Rolodex file. I can't wait til' I'm completely done with it.

Now for this week's prize... and I have to let you all know, I will be on vacation the next 2 weeks, so this week's prize won't be mailed out until I get back. Which'll be the beginning of January. So please sit tight!  When I am on vacation, my challenges will also be on break, and won't be back til' the 4th of January. I so appreciate you understanding. This is a time of rest for me n' my family and we just need to take that break from all the busy-ness that went on throughout the year. OK, so with that all said and understood, here is this week's prize:

This is a sheet of unmounted and uncut stamps. There is 7 stamps on this sheet. To use, you need to cut and then use an acrylic block. Because it isn't mounted on any foam, I either use ATG tape to temporarily adhere it to my block, or use "Tack-and-Peel" which also works great. Anyways this is the prize for this week. Again, I won't be mailing it out til' the beginning of January. So hang tight if you are the winner!!!

I am submitting my project to the following challenges:

Now it's you're turn to play along!! Here is where you'd be putting your project. Created anything with "Flurries" within your project piece, and you can qualify for this week's challenge prize winning!!!  Thanks again for playing along with me!!!
