Jen's September Crafty Session - Friday

Aloha Crafty Friends!! Every month a hold a crafty session with my crafty friends. We get together and create using products from all different types of companies. It's the best fun ever. Then we go out on a little excursion, and break bread together. I host this crafty session every 3rd Friday and 3rd Saturday of the month, and it is by invitation only, or you'll need to know someone within the group to attend. I've closed it up to make it a special type of group, making it more intimate and fun for the ladies that attend. I so love these group of ladies, and the Lord has placed each of them in my life for a reason.

So, the products we created with came from RG Studio 360, RG Inspired Products, Hero Arts, Altenew, My Favorite Things... I am pretty sure that was about it. Here are pics from Friday's session. I will post more pics after my Saturday session tomorrow. :)

Table all pretty and ready to go!!! My friend, Richard Garay sent me these paper mats for my sessions, and I am just loving how they are looking.

Here is one of the card samples... digital image is from RG Studio 360; I printed them on watercolor paper, using my laser printer, and then coloring using the watercolor paints I got from Altenew.

Here are several samples I created, my ladies were free to paint with whatever color they wanted.... so wanted to share with them several color choices....

Working on a card using Altenew, and Pan Pastels....

Us at Rokaru during lunch. Yummerz!!!!

My die cutting machine (crank one), an RG Inspired Product.

My Bellaboo, she was so well behaved, and just sat on my chair, or Wini's chair... she was loving the company. Thank You for being so well behaved, Bella!!!

Then a selfie shot before we all went our separate ways.

Thank you for coming out, ladies!!! So much fun!!! Love talking stories and hanging out, eating and creating with all of you. Always a blessing. Thank You for being a blessing in my life.

Aloha,
Jen

Happy Saturday - Coffee

Aloha and Happy Saturday!! Today's theme is "Coffee", which is perfect, because I LOVE creating coffee projects, no wait, I haven't really created a lot of coffee projects, but I purchase a lot of coffee themed stamp sets. Too funny!! This challenge has kinda forced me to use what I've purchased. But what better timing, because I also subscribe to Hero Art's My Monthly Hero Kits. This past August, the kit was a coffee kit!! So I was able to create with it. I haven't made much, but since I'm working on it, I'll probably make a few more. Before I share with you what I created, wanted to share with you what came in the kit. All of this for $34.99 (and free shipping!!!). I have been a subscriber since July, but have fallen in love with some of the other past kits, and had to have them, and found them on eBay. Was pretty stoked about that, but let's get back to August's kit... here it is:

The stamp set is pretty huge, it comes on a 6" x 8" acetate sheet, and with soooo many stamps!!! Also included were all those dies... one of the dies, is a coffee shop, which I used in my projects today. Here is a closer pic of the set. The above pic is from HA, but these pics are ones I took....

A total of 12 dies!!!!

All of these stamps on 6" x 8"
Additional items that ALSO came with this kit were some designer papers, looks like pretty coffee stains... LOL, embossing powder and some glazed glue. I'm gonna have to make use of these products before I forget about them.

Ok, now that you've seen the kit, here is the project I created. I made a watercolor wash background, using tombow pen markers, and then using a brush with water to blend them together. I saw this card on the web, but the person that created it used only 1 color. I thought I'd try and change it up and use 3 colors.

So there you have it... today's theme of the day, "coffee"... gonna be playing more with this set today. Hopefully I will have another post to share with my finished projects. Thanks again for stopping by. I am praying that the list is also motivating you to create. Have a blessed weekend!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Thank You that continue to come to the sessions. You bless me!!!

Mele Kalikimaka

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Sharing these adorable Pineapple Christmas Cards. The pineapple is a die cut from Hero Arts. The stamped sentiment from Island Paperie, located on Maui. I purchased that sentiment several years ago, when my gf Ann and I visited and made a new friend, that hired her to do a watercolor class for her. It was something that I wouldn't have ever done. But, I also didn't want Ann to go alone. So we both went together, and made a new friend, Kathy, who brought us to this store that I was able to buy the stamp from. :)

Thanks for dropping by. Hope your weekend is a blessed one!!

With Love In Christ,
Jen

"M" is for "Monster"

Aloha Crafty Crafters....

I am so sorry for not posting last week! Our friend's 7 month old baby boy passed away, and I was asked to make some projects for his memorial, so I was working on those, and really had absolutely no time to create anything else. I was blessed to have been asked to help them, but man, it was surely an emotional project to work on.

But, I am back... The Lord has given me that peace of knowing that that baby boy is rejoicing n' dancing around in Heaven, and just being in the Lord's presence, 24/7. Praise God!! Oh and THANK YOU so much to those that sent me messages and left me comments to check on me and see if I was OK.  Now it's back to projects and running this challenge....

First on who won the last challenge... thank you all who've participated. I loved looking at all of your work. I love "LOVE"... it was a fun theme. The winner of the last challenge is:

I Think You're Lovely Card

Happy Saturday y'all!!  Hope your week has gone by well. I am blessed to be alive and well, and just able to do the things that I am called to do, by the Grace of God.  Today I have this pretty card to share with you. I've created this card using Hero Arts n' Stampin' Up! products. I am making a set of cards to send to my son at college, so that he can use it to send to his girlfriend when he writes her letters. :) It is such a blessing to know that they write to each other via snail mail.  I am praying that this set will bless them both.

I am submitting my card to the following fun challenges:

Mahalo for stopping by, spending a little bit of your time with me, and if you've commented, I really appreciate that you took the time to do that!!  Come and join my Facebook Group, "Creating with Jen" for details of this card, and how I created it. Also weekly prize giveaways!!!!

Aloha, Jen

Hero Arts Owl Friendship Card

A friend of mines requested some friendship cards to be made... so I got working on some.  I posted an owl friendship card a couple of days ago, that is the card she decided on buying from me.  I had fun making these cards... pretty neat to stick to 1 theme throughout the week.

So, here is another friendship card I made this week, using an owl stamp from Hero Arts.  The tree and sentiment are both from Stampin' Up!.  I also used a punch from Stampin' Up!.  Sorry can't remember what company the DSP is from.  But it makes the card so much cuter, ya??

Thanks for peeking... hope your week is going well!!!

Aloha and Blessings ~

Thinking Of You

Oh oh!  Summer is about to being for me and the kids.  Friday to be exact.  I've gotta find ways to keep them busy, and hopefully still be able to craft n' post at the same time.  I hope I can keep up with everything that is going to be on my plate.  Well, with God, Anything is Possible, right??  Let's do this!!!

Right now, I am in the middle of working on Graduation Leis for my girlfriend who lives in LV.  Her daughter, my God Daughter is graduating, and the least I can do is make these graduation leis for her.  I don't really know her daughter, but at the time that she was born, her mama n' I were super close friends (we still are), and she chose me to be her God Mother.  What a honorable position to be!!  Anyways, I am thinking about heading to her graduation party in LV, but still up in the air.  Whenever we travel, we always have to think about who it is that will be taking care of our fur babies.   I will keep you all posted if we do end up going or not.  These ribbons were created with the Mini-Bowdabra, and I created 16 of them to make 8 graduation leis.  I will post the finished product when I am done with them.  Just love all the beautiful bows this Bowdabra makes.  I also purchased some hair clips and headbands, so that I can make more.  Looking forward in finishing these projects so that I can do that.

Today's project is a simple card that I created a while ago.... hope you're having a blessed day, wherever you are.  Know that someone is always thinking of you!!!

Thank You Cards

Aloha All... so summer is right around the corner for the kids and I.  It looks like another busy summer, with the kids wanting to go to the beach and other "out of the house" activities, and then keeping up with the house chores, and dining.  I already know that it'll be fun, but tiring.  Looking forward to it. I hope I will be able to continue to blog and create.  Maybe I will have to make other arrangements, like staying up later than I have been lately.

Well, here are 3 projects I have today.  All "Thank U" cards.  This was part of a card order that I did for one of my gf's last year.  This weekend the same gf is having her baby shower.  I am helping the host to make scrapbook page kits for her guests.  I have completed only 1 page kit.  I have to get on it, right??

This morning I woke up feeling a little dizzy, but not really sure what I was feeling, so I will call it "strange".  I thought that perhaps I didn't drink enough water as I have been recently, which is about 4Ls per day.  Yesterday, I only drank 1L.  So, I chugged down 1L this morning, and felt a little better.  I will have make an attempt to intake more water today. What a difference a day makes when you don't have that much water in your system.

Well, time to start my day.  May you have a blessed one!!  Oh and "THANKS" for stopping by!!!

Aloha, Jen
