Finished Christmas Bear Tags And A Busy Weekend!!!

Happy Monday Blessed Friends!!! How was your weekend?? Ours was So BUSY!!! I attended 3 parties this weekend.... and it just seems to get crazier n' busier as we approach Christmas. :) But Praise God, HE keeps me busy for HIS Kingdom, and I'm happy to be doing just that. :)

First, I had my hair done on Friday... I had the highlights removed (or toned down), and then the colors blended to an ombre look. Just thought I'd wanna do something different, so my hair stylist did just that. I was attending a Women's Church function that evening, so I asked for her to curl my ends... she did a spectacular job!!!!

Then here are some pics from the evening's festivities.... my sistahs of the same Heavenly Father!

On Saturday from 9am - 3pm, we went Christmas shopping... what a LONG day that was, and at night, we attended our friend's party, who lived up the street... they had a bunch of door prizes and games, karaoke and just a lot of fun hanging out and eating together. On Sunday, we headed to church, and then to our church's Baptism event. I helped with taking pics of those that were baptized. Then at night, another Christmas party with our Bible Fellowship next door. Phew!!! What a weekend. I am pooped..... but there is no stopping yet. Gotta get to WORK and jamm this week, so that I can finish everything before next weekend... accccckkkk!!!! Christmas is right around the corner!!!!!

I was able to finish the Bear tags, so wanted to share with you how they turned out... so here ya go!!!!

I am able to cut and create 15 at a time, which is a miracle for me, cause I don't like to create mutiples, but I guess it is because these are NEEDED, so I just gotta make them?? I just love that I have this availability to create them at any needed moment. Thank You, Lord!!!  As you've seen from my previous post, I cut these images out on my Sizzx eClips2 machine. I first printed them on my printer, using the Print 2 Cut feature on the eCal program. Then cut them out. Used glue to layer the tags, and foam tape dimensionals from SU! to pop the bear. I have a bunch of dimensionals from SU!, and I wanna use them up so that I can move on to the next set of foam tapes I have. Are you like me?? I have to finish them all up, before opening a new package. And I want to open and use the foam tape packages that I purchased from FSJ, but just can't do it until I'm done with these!!! LOL!!!!  Anyways, I put a light blue ribbon through the hole, and then tied the ribbon with a silver cord. It turned out SO cute!!!!

Today, I am working on making more tags. Will hope to share them with you here soon!!! Have a blessed week. Take your time in doing things... have a "Merry Christmas" and not a "Martha Christmas"....

With Love In Christ,
Jen

Happy 13th Birthday Son

My boy turned 13 yesterday... so blessed to see the young man he is growing into. Praying that he will continue to seek the ways of the Lord, and know that he is loved loved loved by all of his family.  I pray that he will be able to overcome all obstacles in life, and that in every aspect, he will always keep his mind & heart set on the Lord, so that he will know in which way he must go. :)   I just put this LO together real quick, so I could post on to FB. didn't really do much embellishments but the wording. Pics are all from within this year, except for the one in the upper right hand, I believe he was about 3 years old when that one was taken. Just wanted to add a before n' after pic...

Here's what I'm working on today... I'm sure gonna be working on more. Making some Christmas tags. Trying to make as many as possible at one time. The Sizzix eClips2 surely comes in handy for me during these time that I need a lot of things to be cut. Gonna be using LSHD digital images on my Christmas tags. So Easy!!!!

With Love In Christ,
Jen

2 Months Later

Ahhh... 2 months later, and here I am again. I have just be so caught up in so many things. But, the other day, I was thinking about my blog and how it has been ignored. I want to write more and share more of my day and created projects. So, I'm gonna try this again!!! :) Is anyone out there still reading my blog?? Well if you are, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you here.

Here are a couple of my recent projects created with Little Scraps of Heaven Design's cut files...

This first project is my planner of the month of April. I used the "Sweet Treat Mouse" cut file, and also the digital files together with that set. The word stamps are all from The Greeting Farm stamps.

This adorable tag was created with the cut file "Dragon" and sun from "Lamb of God". The alphabet stamps are from Sweet & Sassy Stamps. She turned out so cute. BTW, did anyone hear about the new dragon drink Starbucks came out with? Ya, I think I'm sticking to only this kind of adorable dragon. LOL...

Oh, and these... I can't remember if I posted them or not. A friend asked me if I could make her kids Disney autograph books for their trip to Disneyland. So here is what I came up with. I used the cut file "Magical 3D" cut file set. This set comes with about 7 different cut files that has to do with Disney characters.

That's all folks. Time to start my busy Saturday. I hope I will be able to do more blogging and share more projects with all of you.

Blessings,
Jen

Swaps from October's Tag Swap

Greetings all... every month, I host a swap for my crafty sisters that want to join in. Last month, the theme of the swap was to create Christmas Tags. The amount to make was and always will be "just 4". The ladies came up with adorable tags, and I'm sharing them with you TODAY!!!!

Here is my tag... I already posted it earlier last month, but if you didn't see it, here it is. I created it using Little Scraps of Heaven Designs' "Ice Princess" SVG cut file, and Stampin' Up! stamps.

This is Grace's tag. She made 2 adorable tags.... this was her 1st one. And She made BOTH sides so CUTE!!! Thank You, Grace for putting in so much effort into your tags. We are truly blessed to have received them.

Here's the flip side to Grace's 1st Tag... so cute!!!
Here is Grace's 2nd tag.... She said I have this stamp... LOL! I believe her!

The flip side to her 2nd tag.

Here is Ali's tag... so yummy looking! Created on her eClips machine.

Here is Diane's tag. Sweet n' Simple!!!

Grace always blesses us swappers with a little bit of encouraging words, and they come in these lil' cards with "messages" inside. Mines read "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier." ~ Mother Teresa >>> Thanking the Lord for these attributes that are instilled in each and every one of us. You have the choice to make what your day will be... if you say it's gonna be a bad day, then it will, but if you chose to go with the blessings that you have, and thank the Lord for every and all things, big and small, you will surely see how TINY you are in this BIG world, and that you are very blessed, regardless of the situation you are going through. Our God is a BIG God, and a Mighty One at that! No task is TOO small for Our Lord n' Savior!!!

And here are all the tags together. So blessed to be a part of this swap. The ladies are all talented, and I just love seeing what they come up with every month. If you'd like to play along, just shoot me a message, and I will let you know all the details.

Thank you for stopping by!!
Aloha,
Jen

KaDoodle Bug Designs Challenge

Aloha and Happy Monday!!!  I saw over at Melissa's blog that KaDoodle Bug Designs was holding a challenge.  You can use any KBD cut that you have, and enter the challenge.  I have several cuts on hand, and thought it was great motivation to use one of the cuts that I owned.  Since I attended a Baby Shower this weekend, I needed a gift tag for the gift.  So I created this:

Ain't she adorbs????  I love all her cuts, as they look soooo cute.  The eyes, I actually changed up to be oval ones, bigger than the dot ones that are provided.  I just like my eyes a little wider. I cut one of the Stampin' Up! framelits I had on hand, and adhered the KBD cut to it.  SO Cute!!!

I am submitting my card to the following fun challenges:

Mahalo for stopping by, spending a little bit of your time with me, and if you've commented, I really appreciate that you took the time to do that!!  Come and join my Facebook Group, "Creating with Jen" for details of this project, and how I created it. Also weekly prize giveaways!!!!

Aloha, Jen

Faith Hope Love Scripture Challenge #FHL10

Welcome to the 10th challenge of Faith Hope Love's Scripture Challenge.  We have finally hit the double digits!!!  :)  So much is going on this week, for it is the week of my son's graduation dinner.  I've been working on the center pieces, and now have the slide show to work on last.  It's a good thing that I had already finished making all the favors a couple of weeks ago.  While working on the center pieces, my next door neighbor had asked me to create something that would go great with tying around some goodies for the Father's at her church.  I happily helped out.  Was so excited to create this cut that I had seen on MyScrapChick.com, which turned out to be my project sample for this week's challenge.

But first, let's see who won the last challenge......

Hazel of "My Crafty Outlook" and here is your project that she submitted:

Thank you for playing along and submitting your work, Hazel.  Please email me with your mailing address, and I will send out some goodies to ya!!  Here is a badge for you to also grab and post to your blog:

www.faithhopelove1cor13-13.blogspot.com

Thank you all for participating, and submitting your work of art! So blessed to be able to see all of your beautiful work created with the Lord's WORD!!!

So here is my project sample for this week's challenge:

I cut out the Men's Suit (just the suit part) from MyScrapChick.com. Pieced each one together w/glue... loved doing that...  then I created them into tags by punching a 1/8" hole on the corner, and threading through a silver cord.

On the back of each tag, I've adhered the scripture Joshua 1:9, which was computer generated.

Here are some of the challenges I'm submitting my project to:

You're turn!!! Post your projects here:

Looking forward in seeing your work of art this week.  Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings ~

Valentine Goodie Bags for Cy's Class

Hey Everybody, Cy has school from Mon thru Thurs only. So last night, I hurried along to make these adorable personalized tags for each of his classmates, including himself and his 3 teachers. I only gave them 2 candies each - Nerds and Fun Dip. I LOVE Fun Dip - I LOVE Nerds too!!! So all the left overs will be MINES!!! LOL!!! I got both images via the internet. Thought a cute Hello Kitty image would be perfect for the girls, and Curious George for the boys. I used "Pristina" font for their names.

I laminated each personalized tag, and added a plastic loop to it. They will be able to add their tag to something that belongs to them. =0)

On another note - I wanted to let you know that I am bringing back my "talk stories" to this blog. It can get kinda nuts to go back n' forth trying to update each blog. If you have been with me since the beginning on this blog, you already know how crazy I am about making changes all the time. Always trying to do new things, and yet finding ways in doing them simply. Ok, nuff, lets get on to what I wanna share with you today. Yesterday, there was a tornado that touched down on Oahu, the Kapolei part of our island. How exciting and scary! Thank God no one was severely hurt.... and that it hit a golf course at that!!! I think Maria even lived near this area when she lived here. Here's a video to check it out... Ok, apparently I cannot add the video to my blog. So here is a link to the actual video itself. You can check it out, by clicking here.

Now, today is a little prettier than it was yesterday. It is still a little cloudy, but this morning, I caught a pic of this gorgeous rainbow....

Hope you are having beautiful day where you are!

Hugs n' Aloha,
Jen

Retirement Party Cards Revealed & Available

Ohhhh sisters.... I am sooo pooped!!! I feel like falling asleep right here on my chair, and just going to bed. But I wanted to blog first about today's crazy retirement party event. It was a very successful event, and everyone went home happy. The house was a lil' cozy... and I think I had too much people on 1 table. BUT - all went well, and everyone went home happily ever after. Oh my! Can you tell I'm sleepy? Ok... here are the photos of the cards we made today. Sorry - on one of the tags, there is a black ink smudge - this isn't a trick, or technique. It's simply ink getting on card by mistake type of technique. But I was tooo tired to take a picture of another created one.

I have several kits left, and available for purchase. If you're interested in purchasing a kit, please let me know by either commenting here, or emailing me. I am selling these either as assembled ($20 USD), or unassembled ($15 USD). If you purchase them unassembled, I will provide you with a sample of a photo copy of each of these cards, the stamped images along with the rest of the kits. Shipping is included to anywhere in USA, please add $2 for Canada residents.

Thanks!!!! I am totally pooped, and still trying to get over this cold. Hope everyone has an awesome Memorial Day tomorrow - I think we're heading to the beach... we'll see..... G'night!!!

My Cuttlebug Session Yesterday......

WAS CANCELLED!!!! What!? Gasp?! How come?! Well, I had a sore throat when I got up yesterday, and didn't want to pass on my germs to the ladies that were coming. SO - instead, I had them pick up the kits that were already prepped, and take it over to Ms. Wini's house (you know, my Mama Wini?! - yep, same lady....). Anyways, it all worked out, cause they were heading to her house anyways, so - perfect!! They had great guidance, and most of all, they still made out since they were in an air condition'd home! Tee hee....
As for me, I was supposed to rest. But come on... we all know with a 2 year old, there is no resting allowed!!! So, instead - I took my lil' shorty to the park, and then when we got home, he wanted to "water plants outside pleeeeeese!".... so that's where we ended up for the rest of the day.

Then I was planning to post the photos of yesterday's scheduled session - but before I could do that, we were honored with the presence of a cock-a-roach!!!! Eeeeeeek!!! OMGawd!!! You wouldn't believe the size of this beast!!! At first, Cy was saying "I see lady bug now...", and he said it twice, however, I ignored him, cause I was trying to post this blog. Then, I could see him from the corner of my eye moving on to the dining table, and by this time - he's whimpering, and saying, "I see lady bug now...", and I got up - and said, "ok, where... where's the lady bug? Is it a BEEG lady bug?!" - he said "yea", and said, "but where?!" - I pointed to where he was looking, because I didn't see anything... he goes "right there....", and at the same time - this BEAST, A Fricken '"747" Roach comes crawling out from under the coffee table (you know, the kine with wings?!)..... the loudest "screach" of somewhat a scream was coming out of my mouth!!! I am deathly afraid of roaches!!! I yelled for Chazz, but guess what?! He was on the dang toilet!!!! So what'd I do - I grabbed slippers, and shoes, heavy ones - and started throwing them at the bug. Hahaha... it wasn't working. Actually, it kinda was - cause it started stampering more. I had chicken skin ALL OVER!!! I even grabbed this week's Sunday paper (which was still unread, and still in it's rubber banded formed), and threw it on the bug... it bounced off, and didn't even kill it. I was sick!!! How in the world was I going to kill this thing that was so fricken disgusting!!! By this time, Chazz finally gets out - and I'm yelling at him, "kill it!!! kill it, babe!!!".... hahaha - but guess what?! Chazz was scared too! What a hilarious scene that was going on at that moment! The bug ran under the sofa, then I dashed off to get the bug spray. Got back, sprayed under the sofa - and then saw it come stampering out again!!! This time Chazz was brave enough to whack it with a slipper. Hah! It took awhile, but he's still my hero!!! Unfortunately, I have no pictures of the bug that took up 30 minutes of my afternoon.... didn't think the locals would want to reminice to that!!!

Anyways, then dinner approached... I didn't cook, cause I wanted to have Vietnamese "Pho" - it's soup.... most of you all know that. However, what you don't know is that it really isn't promounced "Fo" like how you're reading it, it's actually pronounced "Fa" like, "Fa, Fa, Away"... yes... it cracks me up - but at some Vietnamese restaurants, they will say "Fo" for you, cause it just makes it easier for all of us... my MIL will be proud of me that I've posted this here. The Pho was to help with my throat. Heat is always good, right?! After dinner, American Idol came on, glad to hear that Jordin has won. She's so talented. Then LOST!!! I saw bits n' pieces of it... but it was a trippy episode, don't cha agree?! Now, the flashbacks weren't flashbacks - they were flash fowards.... wow.... they really know how to capture people's attention, and poor Charlie. I didn't want him to die.... that sucks. I hope he comes back by some miracle. I mean, that guy with the eye patch did, why can't Charlie?! Hey, but maybe he will?! Remember Desmond had a flashback where Charlie was on the streets playing guitar? That could've been a flash forward right?!

Ok, so I hit the sack after the show, and wasn't able to post the projects untill today... so here they are - thanks for reading through my whole story about yesterday!

This graduation card was made for Moanalua High School... colors are Silver, White n' Royal Blue. I did some research online, and found a site where they have the colors for all schools (in Hawaii that is). So all you sisters that are making grad cards right about this time, and need to know what color a certain high school is, check it out here: Schools Info Hawaii. Schools are listed alphabetically, so you shouldn't have a problem locating the school you want.

Recipe: I used the Cb Embossing folder "Congrats A2", and the #'s were cut out using my cricut, "George n' Basic Shapes" was the cartridge - which came with the machine. CS are Brilliant Blue, Ultra White and Silver from SU!, Silver Brads also from SU! WM by me...

This card was inspired by Sue Nelson.

Yes, I know - it's not even winter yet, but I thought this was so simple n' elegant, didn't see how I couldn't NOT show the ladies this one. Had to, cause we're always looking for simple, easy to do projects that won't take up too much time, especially when it comes to Christmas.

Recipe: CB Mini Embossing Folder "Winter", sentiment "Happy Holidays" is from SU! (can't remember what set - cause it was an "out of the box-by Cy" set. I did the embossing on another piece of CS (by Bazzill Basics), cut out, then applied to the card itself. Then embossed the envelope.

Card inspired by Sue Nelson.

Then I had something different, a tag for them to do.
Recipe: CS, Big Brad and Silk Flower are all of Bazzill Basics, Organdy Ribbon - Offray, CB folder is "Swirls", BG Paper is DCWV, and "J" was created using my cricut from the "George" cartridge.
This one, I thought of on my own.
Now, if you're wondering "who the heck is Sue Nelson?" - well, I found her while searching for ideas the other night, for some CB creations. She's over at heartprints.net. She's got a whole gallery of other stuffs too, so when you get a chance, go and check her site out - cause you will definitely be inspired!!! Here is another card that she's inspired me to create. I'm such a copy cater, huh?! Well, it's beautiful that's why - I had to CASE it and see if my hands could do the same magic. It was pretty close... hee hee....
Recipe: CS: Bazzill Basic, Ribbon - Offray, CB folder "Stylized Flower". Used SU! Chalk for coloring - I need more practice though!
Card Inspired by.... Sue Nelson - now that you've seen mines, go and check her's out!!!
