Baby Shark 1st Birthday

Created this paper pieced project using an SVG cut file I found online. This child loves the Baby Shark song, so I wanted to make a shark card, and found so many cute n' cheap shark cut files. I ended up getting a shark set with a bunch of different sharks, and I thought that was the best thing to do to get the best of my bucks.

Here's how the cuts look like before cutting them out on my eClips machine:

I used Distressed Oxide for the background, and a RG Avenue sentiment. I thought it turned out totally adorable!!!

Thanks for reading!

Aloha,
Jen

Day 17 Birthday

It's been a while since I've worked on a paper pieced project. Eeeks... pieced these 2 projects together, for my daily challenge, day 17 "Birthday". Both cuts are from KaDoodle Bug Designs. Maybe later I will put them on a card, but for now, I think these are finished til' I'm ready to use them on something else. LOL!! Paper piecing reminded me of how patient I need to be, especially with these small pieces. I could always cut them bigger, but when what would I put them on, if it's bigger than a card??

Thanks for stoppin' by!!

Aloha,
Jen

"H" is for "Heart"

Aloha and Welcome back to another week of my Alphabet Challenge!!! We are on the letter "H", and since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, let's get into the mood of creating with "HEARTS" or 1 Heart is good enough, if you just have 1 to put on your project. Sounds good??

First, let's recognize our winner from last week... and our winner is:

Thank You, Gail for playing along!! Please email me your mailing address, and I will mail out a prize to you!!!!

Ok, so now for this week's challenge... as I've mentioned, the theme is:

"H" is for "Heart"

Perfect, since Valentine's Day is right around the corner. So here's a hint... you can either use the word "heart" or a "heart" image or paper piecing. Just as long as there is a "heart" on your handmade project. Here is my sample:

I used one of the robots from Little Scraps of Heaven Design's "Love Bots" cut file set. The foil type paper was something I purchased years ago, and only now trying out. So happy that my eClips cut it with no problems.  I embossed the sentiment... have been embossing lately, and have been loving it!!

I am submitting this project to the following fun challenges:

It's your turn!! Create your project, and post your URL to the inlinkz section below!

"F" is for "Flurries"

Aloha and welcome back to another week of Alphabet Challenges!!! We are on the letter "F" this week, and I am going with "F" is for "Flurries" -  First let's take care of last week's winner.... Our winner was:

Thank you all that participated. Moving on to my sample.... I am continuing to work on my Rolodex Birthday Calendar.. so here is the month of December's cover. Love that Little Scraps of Heaven Designs has a cut that celebrates the Lord's birth. This set is called "A Child is Born". The background paper has the "FLURRIES" that I am using as the sample for this week's challenge.

Here is a photo of the cover in the Rolodex file. I still have to think of how I'm going to show the birthdays. There is still a lot of room in this Rolodex file. I can't wait til' I'm completely done with it.

Now for this week's prize... and I have to let you all know, I will be on vacation the next 2 weeks, so this week's prize won't be mailed out until I get back. Which'll be the beginning of January. So please sit tight!  When I am on vacation, my challenges will also be on break, and won't be back til' the 4th of January. I so appreciate you understanding. This is a time of rest for me n' my family and we just need to take that break from all the busy-ness that went on throughout the year. OK, so with that all said and understood, here is this week's prize:

This is a sheet of unmounted and uncut stamps. There is 7 stamps on this sheet. To use, you need to cut and then use an acrylic block. Because it isn't mounted on any foam, I either use ATG tape to temporarily adhere it to my block, or use "Tack-and-Peel" which also works great. Anyways this is the prize for this week. Again, I won't be mailing it out til' the beginning of January. So hang tight if you are the winner!!!

I am submitting my project to the following challenges:

Now it's you're turn to play along!! Here is where you'd be putting your project. Created anything with "Flurries" within your project piece, and you can qualify for this week's challenge prize winning!!!  Thanks again for playing along with me!!!

Recipe Book Using Project Life Pages

Aloha and Happy Saturday!! Wanted to share a project I am currently working on... I'm using Stampin' Up!'s Project Life 6x8 Album... and project life pages... but I'm using it to make a recipe book of dishes that my family and I love to eat!! It's a work in progress, so I will share the pages as I create them...

Here is the album: Still thinking about how I should decorate the front of this album. The cover is a paper like material, so maybe I'll put a paper pieced project, and seal with decoupage. I dunno. We'll see.... any suggestions??? :)

Here is the first page, and a cover page at that! I printed the title, and I cut out the utensils from Little Scraps of Heaven Design's "Cooking Up Some Fun". This set has all the great cuts that would go well with a recipe book!!

Here is my 1st recipe page I created... I used most of the project life cards, and for the adorable bear, I cut out from the same cut file. The pocket size is only 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" so I had to work with small pieces. Turned out pretty cute!!!

Here is a close up of the adorable bear...

Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope your day is a blessed one!! Aloha, Jen

Mini Diaper Cake with Zoo Animal Toppers

Aloha!! Hope you are having a blessed week!! The year is almost OVER!! October is the month that everything just starts to feel like we're going down hill quickly.... I actually start to make my Christmas list this month, and I haven't even started that yet, so I already feel like I'm BEHIND!! I need to get on it, and start ordering stuffs so I can get them in on time. Anyways, after October, Thanksgiving comes, and then CHRISTMAS!! Thanking Jesus for this blessed day that we get to celebrate HIS birth. Did you know that it probably wasn't even in December that Jesus was born??  Interesting fact, right???

This past weekend, a friend asked me to make some mini diapers for a baby shower she was hosting. I used Little Scraps of Heaven Design's Zoo Animals 1, 2 & 3!! Loved these adorable animals. They are too CUTE!!  Here's how they turned out!!!

Showered with Love

Good day y'all!!  Today, I have a paper pieced project to share with you!  I am using Little Scraps of Heaven Design's "Rainy Day Duck"... so cute!!  The sample image shows the duck standing, but I wanted to try something and change it to have it sitting in the umbrella.  It turned out so cute!!!  I also used the raindrops embossing folder from Taylored Expressions and the "Showered with Love" sentiment is also a Taylored Expression stamp, which I got both from J's Knicknacks on Oahu.

Here on the side is the sample pic... and now here is my project that I readjusted the cuts to have her sitting in the umbrella instead! So proud of myself!!!  :)
