Birthday Rolodex: April - June

Aloha!! Sharing more of my Birthday Rolodex again. 3 months that I am sharing this time are April, May & June.

What do you think? Die Cut Clipart are from Doodle Bug Designs, and months have  been cut out on my electronic cutting machine. Someone said that the "May" should be in a darker color. Maybe I'll make it in purple instead? Most die cuts again are from Queen & Co. So happy I'm getting these done.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Birthday Rolodex: Jan-Mar

Howdy Friends!!!

Happy 2nd Day of 2022!! I've been working on a Birthday Rolodex Calendar. I had this in process for many months now, and I finally convinced myself that I really should finish it and use it this time. LOL!! I hope I finish it before the 1st birthday that is on my calendar. I'll be posting them 3 months at a time, so here are January to March.

Most of the die cuts on here are from Queen n' Company. The month's is an SVG file from Miss Kate Kuttables, which I cut 3 times each on my Sky Cutting Machine (electric die cutter, similar to the Cricut), and adhered them together to make them thicker n' pop out on the file. Clip Art Dies are from Doodle Bug Designs, and DSP are from my collection... I know some of them are also from Q&Co. A lot of piecing together, and use of glue. Which I found relaxing and fun to do.

Mahalo for stopping by!!

Jen

Baby Shark 1st Birthday

Created this paper pieced project using an SVG cut file I found online. This child loves the Baby Shark song, so I wanted to make a shark card, and found so many cute n' cheap shark cut files. I ended up getting a shark set with a bunch of different sharks, and I thought that was the best thing to do to get the best of my bucks.

Here's how the cuts look like before cutting them out on my eClips machine:

I used Distressed Oxide for the background, and a RG Avenue sentiment. I thought it turned out totally adorable!!!

Thanks for reading!

Jen

Birthday Fishes

Sharing 2 cards today, both created with the same stamp set... I was gonna make them exactly a like, but I like that I made them slightly different just by moving the images around. This first card was created for my GodDaughter who turned 11 last week. I loved the card so much, that I made another one!! ;)

Here is the 2nd card.... background on both were created using Distressed Oxide inks, and splattering some water on to it, causing it to react the way it looks in the pic.

Images were colored with Copic Sketch Markers and I made the die cuts on my eCal program, cutting out with my eClips2 machine.

Aloha,
Jen

Hauoli La Hanau

"Hau'oli La Hanau" means "Happy Birthday" in Hawaiian. Made these cards with some of those local stamps I picked up from WalMart. They were made by KCHawaii. These stamps were one of the smaller sets, but I think I picked up about 4-5 sets at that time, of all different local stamps. These are the only ones I've used so far... lol!

Simple, yet pretty... right??! Gonna be making more of these... different colors... love how they turned out. I made these for a Birthday Card Order.

I missed posting an Aloha Friday Crafty Video last week, since I was working on some money leis. But I will be posting a video tomorrow... so be on a lookout.

Aloha,
Jen

Thanksgiving Is Over

Aloha Crafty Friends!!!

Now that Thanksgiving is over... it's time for the Christmas RUSH! LOL... honestly, I finished most of my Christmas shopping online for my family n' friends, done the day after Thanksgiving. Now, just gotta do the finishing touches of some of our family on the mainland, my boys n' my parents. So glad that I got majority of it done. However, that doesn't mean that I'm free to do anything... actually, December is the craziness and busiest for me as a wife to my hubs. Because he is invited to Christmas Company's Parties, and we are blessed to go and show our appreciation for their business. It's fun. We always see the same peeps every year, and look forward to the next year of seeing them again. :) God is GOOD!!!!  So, unfortunately, I won't be hosting any Crafty Sessions until' January, 2018.

^This is a pic of our turkey that my hubby made for Thanksgiving. He always blesses us by cooking up a feast for Thanksgiving. I have never made a turkey in my life. Which I'm sad to say, because I so want to make one. But he insists on making it every Thanksgiving, so just gonna be happy n' enjoy the blessing that the Lord has given me... my hubby!!!!  We usually host a big gathering, but we decided to take a break and just have a quiet Thanksgiving together, as family. It was really nice to have a lot of left overs this year. LOL!!!

So today, I am sharing with you a few cards that I had made, starting with these cards that I made to complete the Birthday Card order I had. I am no longer taking card/project orders for the rest of the year, because I'm working on Christmas cards for myself. LOL!

Here are the 2 cards that completed my Birthday Card order:

Here's what I used:

  • Pineapple Image: LSHD Digitals
  • Hula Girl: Create In Me Stamp (Colored w/Copics)
  • Pennant Die Cut: Lawn Fawn (Used on FSJ Platinum Machine)
  • Twine: Amazon
  • Cardstock, DSP, Sentiment: Stampin' Up!
I also decided that I was gonna make and send out handmade cards this year. Thanks Ali for the encouragement n' push to create handmade instead of photo cards. I gotta make at least 50. Have already made 16? But here are a few I worked on...

I'm working on 4 at a time. Praying that with this goal, I'll be done way before Christmas.

Here's what I used to create the cards above:

  • Moose, Stars & Stripes: LSHD Digitals (Moose is a Print2Cut on my eClips2 machine).
  • Twine: FSJ
  • Cardstocks: Stampin' Up!
  • Sentiment: My Stash (unknown)
I'll be sharing more of my Christmas projects so stay tuned!!  Thanks for visiting.

Jen

Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!! Sorry haven't been posting lately, I have been busy working on some accounting and admin stuff for the end of the year. Can't believe we are nearly at the end of 2017 already!! How crazy that the year has flown by so quickly!!

Today's share is a card I created using the following:

  • Image: Paper Smooches; Hero Arts (Stars)
  • Sentiment: Hero Arts
  • Paper, Ribbon & Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
  • Die Cuts: Sorry Not Sure....
  • Colored with Copic Sketch Markers

This card is for a Birthday Card order I am working on. Yes, I already finished the 1st card order of 50 cards... this one is just 15 cards. :) Praise God!!!!

Thanksgiving is already NEXT WEEK!!!! I still need to work on Christmas cards. Anyone making their Christmas cards this year?? I am not sure how many I will be able to create. But it'll be a fun challenge to myself. LOL.

Have a blessed day!!

With Love In Christ,
Jen

Altenew Happy Birthday Dahlias

Happy Monday Beauties!!! Today, I am sharing with you these beautiful cards that I created using Altenew's Dahlia stamps. I'm so happy how they turned out, and I thank my MISTI for it.  It was so fun to use, and I just have to not be so lazy with bringing out this tool, and especially using it for 2-step stamping. Makes it so much easier. I also masked. Here's a pic of how my MISTI looked in the process of making these cards...

After this part, here are how my stamped cards looked like...

Then I completed these cards by adding a sentiment, and put them on card based...  here's how they turned out.

I played around with a stitched frame I had. :) So happy how they turned out. Oh this past weekend, I hosting a Crafty Session. I will post those pics later this week, and I am also excited because my pastor's wife asked me if I'd like to create some cards n' journals to sell at our church cafe. So, I'll be jamming on those.  The Lord has also blessed me with another card order. :) All Happy Birthday cards, so these are part of that order.  I pray your week will be blessed. Thanks for visiting.

With Love In Christ,
Jen

Sending Birthday Hugs

Happy Aloha Friday!!! If you haven't already heard, my Little C's Aloha Friday Challenges has been put on hold for now. Thank you to all of you that played along and made it fun while it lasted. :)

This adorable card was created using Little Scrap of Heaven Design's colored digital image. I just printed out the colored digital and then cut it on my eClips2 machine. :) The feature on this machine is called "Print 2 Cut". I love this feature, because you can even cut out stamped images as well. I did a video on how to do this, real simple and easy to do.

The clouds are from Fun Stampers Journey, and I love the stitching around the edges. I don't like the embossed look that it created, tho'. Maybe I'll figure out how to get rid of that later. The Embossed background is also from a FSJ product.

Thanks for stopping by!! Starting this week, I will no longer be posting on Saturday n' Sundays. But will be back come Mondays. I'm just trying to figure some things out, and finding a balance in all that I am already doing. So, please don't think I've disappeared, simply just taking a break from blogging during the weekends.

Jen

Happy Happy Birthday

Happy Happy Birthday!! Created this card using another cut out, it's from Miss Kate's Kuttables. Isn't it so cute??? I also used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment on there, over n' over again, because the DSP was uneven, and the MISTI allowed me to stamp it over n' over making it look even. Glad I am putting my MISTI to use now. :)

Celebrate

Still working on Birthday Cards. These stamped images I had cut out and already colored. I've just added to the card, and yay! The background was inspired by Richard Garay. Thank you, Richard!! I also inked up the wood sentiment so that it was matching to the colors of the card. I can't remember where the image is from. I believe it is a digital image tho'.

Happy Birthday Bird and Pup

Here is another birthday card I worked on. Brought out my Paper Smooches stamp sets the other morning, and worked on some cards to work on my card order. I still have a few more cards to create.

These images were stamped directly unto the white cardstock, and then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. Added a strip of yellow polka dot DSP, and used a bubble die cut for the sentiment. It turned out so cute!!!

Quick Birthday Balloon Cards

Sharing these birthday balloon cards I created, inspired by Jenn McG. I've shared her video below. I've used circle die cuts and a sweet stamp from The Greeting Farm. Some sparkle twine, and glue. Simple n' easy.... thanks Jenn McG!

Here is her video:

I have no words as to what has happened in Las Vegas. In Matthew 24:3-6 this is told:

3"While Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will all this happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” 4Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains."

Take heed my friends n' family...  hold on to those reigns of your horse, and continue to pray!!!!

Look Who's Turning 1

Happy Monday!!! Today I am sharing with you a card I created for our friend's daughter who turned 1! Oh, and she is also OUR God Daughter!! Funny because my hubby n' I were counting how many God Children we had. I think I'm responsible for 4 official God Children, and 2 (twins) of which I claimed on my own. LOL. While the hubby has 7 God Children total. LOL!! I sure hope we do a great job being Godly examples in these children's lives.

Before I share about my card, I wanted to share about what happened last week. The Fun Stampers Journey world had a crazy shake up. The owner/founder/president was terminated. True Story. Richard Garay was let go from Fun Stampers Journey. To me, he was one of the reasons why I fell in love with the company so quickly, because I was captivated by his energetic personality and was looking forward to watching his crafty and live videos. He was also very personable with his Coaches, and reached out to many of us. I know, because he'd send me FB messages like he was MY FRIEND. He didn't have to. He had SOOOO many people that probably messaged him, but yet, he still did, and would always reply to any of my messages. What president of a company does that??? They usually have assistants that would do that kinda "work" for them. But this was Richard's passion. You could tell. The love he had for the people that were following him, and the amazing creativity that he just so LOVED to share. Needless to say, I was shocked, lost for words, and torn. It was said that he was terminated because he was promoting another line of products (his own line) that completely went against the policy of FSJ. I was confused at first, because I thought, how can they fire him? I thought he OWNED n' was the FOUNDER of the company??? Apparently, he made a business decision of partnering up with some investors, and they were the ones that made the decision to terminate him. I understood now, from his point of view, what he did that went against the policy, because I had been with The Angel Company before (no longer existing), and they terminated my demonstrator-ship because I also had been running an online store at the same time. But in Richard's case, I was kinda bothered of the way they let him go. This was a company HE had founded... his bread n' butter of how he'd been supporting his Ohana. Couldn't they have waited to have a meeting with him and say something like, "this is the last warning - cause next would be grounds of termination"???.... So many questions I had, especially "Why had they terminated him the way they did??". After watching his video, he states that he was unaware of the coming of his termination and that he was totally unprepared and surprised by it. (Of course! Who would know when they'd get fired??? - Except for that one time I left my register open at the bank, huh Rina???) :( But he also mentioned that the environment wasn't a good environment if he had stayed. Therefore, over the last couple days, this gave me alot to think about. What are my plans, with the company? What do I do if I quit and all this "STUFF" that I already bought???? I love the products... yes I do. I appreciate that they have lower monthly requirements, and that they have said that they will not be increasing the minimum requirements, for now. Therefore, for now, I am staying on board. But I am leaning towards being more of a FSJ hobbyist. Which means that I will be creating with ALL the products I own and sharing with you how all products can mesh together nicely. :) #UseEmAll

With that being said... here is the card I recently created. I love this mermaid, she's so cute.  I colored her with Pan Pastels and Copic Markers. The sequins, inks, embossing folder, oval die cut n' stiched die, pan pastels and mermaid stamped image are from FSJ, the sentiments (numbers & words) are from SU!

Praying your week will be blessed. Just heard about the shooting in Las Vegas. So sad. Please pray along with me for those involved in the shooting. The families that lost anyone, and those hanging on to their lives. Praying also for all those that are stricken and saddened and confused about everything that had happened.

With Love In Christ,
Jen
