I am Yours Forever - Bible Journaling

Aloha blog readers!!!!

"I am Yours Forever"... created this bible journaling page, using the words from "Love Came Down". Although this is a song from the worshipper's heart to Jesus, it is JESUS who stands true to these words. He will never leave me or forsake me (Hebrews 13:5), and it is HE that keeps telling me "I am Yours FOREVER".... no matter how many times I may leave him, he still remains with me through it all.

Here are the lyrics (chorus) from this song...

"Love came down and rescued me
Love came down and set me free
I am yours
Lord I'm forever yours
Mountains high or valley low
I sing out and remind my soul
I am yours
I am forever yours..."

I used Honey Bee Stamps "Sweet Sunflower" stamp set. I also did a process video creating this bible journaling page, posted below the pics...

We Stand Together in Christ - Bible Journaling Page

Aloha Gang....

Today I have a bible journaling page to share with y'all!! The main image that I used on this page is a free digital image from The Greeting Farm, and can be found by clicking here!

I've also made a process video and have posted it below after my photos.  Here are a couple of pics I took of my created bible page. I've also used stamps from Sweet & Sassy Stamps, which are most of the words stamped on to the page. The "So Beautiful" stamp is the only stamp that I don't know where it came from, because I no longer had it stored in it's original packaging.

I've used Purple and Pink Acrylic paints to add color to this page. BUT FIRST, I coated and prepped the page with GESSO, ges-so that the ink wouldn't bleed through to the other side of the page. I love using Gesso, and it always works great when prepping my pages.

Here is my process video. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Have a blessed day!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Jesus Calling June 6th Decorated Devotional Page

As I was doing my devotions this morning, the Lord wanted me to glorify Him by decorating this page, while spending the time with him. If you love bible journaling, this is just another way of doing that, but within a devotional book. The creativity is unlimited as to what you can do, and what you can decorate in..... Bibles, Devotionals, Old Books.... so many more!!!

In my devotional today, I was reminded that HE filled my world with all these BEAUTIFUL things, and these things are meant to always point me back to HIM. Never away from him!!!

I use Distressed Oxide Inks to decorate this page, and also a feather stamp from Unity Stamp Company.

Here are the scriptures that were also on this page:

"Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always." ~Psalm 105:4

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge." ~Psalm 19:1-2

"See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and HIS glory appears over you." ~Isaiah 60:2

I pray you are blessed by this short video of my decorating this devotional page. Video is after still shot below. Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Happy Aloha Friday!!!

Happy Aloha Friday, Gang!!! Praying you are all doing well, staying indoors, staying healthy, and staying alive!!! I am going to try this "once a week" post in my blog, because things have been slowing down everywhere, but at the same time still moving, know what I mean?? I figure I could share my once a week, what I have been creating. I'll try and just post 5 projects, so that it doesn't get too overwhelming for everyone to read. I'll keep the post simple n' sweet, and if you want more of my blabbing, just let me know.

Ok so here we go...

Project #1: "Happy Birthday Shaker Card". I created this shaker card for my grand baby who turned 1 in February. I have recently found a new but old love for shaker cards, and thought that a shaker card for her would be so perfect. stamps are from The Greeting Farm. Die cut is from My Favorite Things.  I had so much fun creating this card. I used Copic Sketch Markers to color images, and a White Signo Gel Pen for highlighting.

Project #2: "Hello Spring Swap Cards"
Here are my cards that I created for my one-on-one swap for the month of February. Theme was "Spring". I used the "no-line coloring" technique. I think I need more practice. Stamped images are from RG Avenue. Dies from Lawn Fawn, and Sentiment is from Hello Blue Bird. Cloud stencil from My Favorite Things. I used Prisma Color Pencils to color in these images. Made 17!

Project #3: Bible Journaling Page:

Digital image is a freebie from RG Avenue. Scripture I highlighted is 1 Corinthians 1:26-31. Basically the scripture says, "If you're gonna boast, then boast about JESUS". That is what I designed. This is a 9" x 12" spiral bible from Illustrated Faith. Pages are huge, and so much room to decorate, I love it. I used Pan Pastels for the background, and words are stamps and stickers, and "JESUS" was cut out of Yellow DSP, on my Sizzix eClips2 machine. Date stamp is also from Illustrated Faith.

Project #4:
Another bible journaling page. This one was done a year ago, back in Feb 2019! I guess I forgot to share it. You don't need to decorate a bible to do any journaling. You can basically use any old book that you no longer need, and just decorate it. This one has lyrics of a Praise n' Worship song called "Hold Me Now" (Whole Heart). The words remind of me God's goodness and how much GRACE he gives me daily. Grace upon Grace upon Grace. I am no good without God.

This last pic is not a project but rather a reminder of things that are NOT Cancelled. Even though there has been so much changes in our lives, a lot of things have NOT changed. So keep your head up. View this as a time of "Dwelling with the Lord" as this illness/disease passes over our household. Hold fast to the Lord's WORD and his promises, and be still and know that HE is GOD!!!  Continue to love on each other in your household and appreciate having them here together with YOU.

God Bless n' Aloha,
Jen

Colossians 2:14

Happy Resurrection Week!! Did some bible decorating on Monday when I woke up, as I was reminding myself of the sacrifice Jesus did on the cross for me, because God loved us so much, he had his son die on the cross for our sins. He wants us all to go to heaven, but heaven is not a place for "good people", heaven is a place for "perfect people", therefore, with Jesus being the sacrificial lamb for our sins, he took that place to make us perfect for entering into heaven. I put Jesus on the cross... my sins... a humble reminder...

What I used:

  • Sweet n' Sassy Alphabet Stamps; The Good News stamp set
  • Distressed Oxide Ink: Wild Honey
  • Unity Stamp: Dandelions
  • Illustrated Faith Die Cuts n' 9" x 12" Spiral Bible

Aloha,
Jen

2 Months Later

Ahhh... 2 months later, and here I am again. I have just be so caught up in so many things. But, the other day, I was thinking about my blog and how it has been ignored. I want to write more and share more of my day and created projects. So, I'm gonna try this again!!! :) Is anyone out there still reading my blog?? Well if you are, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you here.

Here are a couple of my recent projects created with Little Scraps of Heaven Design's cut files...

This first project is my planner of the month of April. I used the "Sweet Treat Mouse" cut file, and also the digital files together with that set. The word stamps are all from The Greeting Farm stamps.

This adorable tag was created with the cut file "Dragon" and sun from "Lamb of God". The alphabet stamps are from Sweet & Sassy Stamps. She turned out so cute. BTW, did anyone hear about the new dragon drink Starbucks came out with? Ya, I think I'm sticking to only this kind of adorable dragon. LOL...

Oh, and these... I can't remember if I posted them or not. A friend asked me if I could make her kids Disney autograph books for their trip to Disneyland. So here is what I came up with. I used the cut file "Magical 3D" cut file set. This set comes with about 7 different cut files that has to do with Disney characters.

That's all folks. Time to start my busy Saturday. I hope I will be able to do more blogging and share more projects with all of you.

Blessings,
Jen

Some Bible Journaling

Aloha Friends!!! It has been quite some time since I've last posted!! Infact, it has been about 2-1/2 months now. I am ok. Just haven't been in the mood to create anything BUT doing some Bible Journaling. Sometimes, I get into these ruts... and just don't feel like creating anything. Do you get like this sometimes?  But I have been creating n' getting into the word of God, so, I definitely have been enjoying THAT. Anyways, here are some of the pages I worked on....

This one I used an Inky Antic stamp, stamped on watercolor paper, and then colored n' fussy cut. Then added to my page. I loved the look of the dripping honey, and wanted to drape the top of my page with that same look.

On this page, I used stamps from Sweet & Sassy stamps. I also CASED this page from another crafter.

This page comes from my Extra Large Inspire Bible. The artwork was already on the page, and all I needed to do was add some color. I really love how it turned out.

This one was traced - the lettering at least. The floral stamps are from Sweet & Sassy stamps again.

This page was actually a page that looked like a mess. I covered it up with some paint, and again, CASED this idea from another crafter.

Last but not least, I made some clip markers for my planner, bible, journal, and anything else that I could clip it on to. Sending a set of 4 to a dear friend... somewhere out there. <3 br="" nbsp="">

That is all I have been up to. I am praying that this rut I am in, will be gone from my heart. I want to create with the Joy of the Lord on my heart, and I want to be able to have that desire n' fire again....

The Greeting Farm Friday's

Happy Aloha Friday!!! I have selected to feature TGF a.k.a The Greeting Farm projects on Friday's. I think because naturally, "TGF" reminds me of "Thank God it's Friday"... so ya, that's how I chose it. :)

I have a bible journaling page to share with ya today, of which I used a TGF image.... the scripture I journaled about is Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right Spirit within me." It is a prayer that is written on my heart. Asking the Lord to cleanse my heart, to remove any emnity in it. To make refresh it with HIS Word, and renew my spirit, because there are times when my Spirit is crushed, and with the Lord's renewing, instantly, he RENEWS me, and I can carry on with my day without having to hold on to a grudge or something else that might be hindering me from getting closer to the Lord.

For this page, I added a layer of gesso prior to stamping my image. My image was then stamped in black, and then coloring with Copic Sketch Markers. I added water color to the page, and completed with some stamps from Sweet & Sassy stamps. It was a blessed time spent with the Lord while creating this page.

I pray that your Friday is a blessed one, and that you will have an awesome weekend. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Bible Journaling John 14v27

Aloha Gang!!

So, last week Wednesday, I went into surgery. It was a small surgery, but nonetheless, having to go under is still kinda scary for me.  As I spent time with the Lord, he gave me this scripture:

"PEACE I leave with you; my peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid". ~John 14:27~

What an amazing reminder and I meditated on that all day, throughout my day, I even created some Project Life cards, using Robin Sampson's digital kit, and had these cards printed up so that I could put them all over my house, in my planner and calendar, etc...

The neat thing is that the next day, the Lord used my brother in Christ, to send me the exact same verse. I was crying, because I never thought I heard the Lord's voice so clearly, and what comforting words. Matt had texted me the same scripture the next morning, and I immediately asked him if he was on FB and saw my post. And he said "NO, I haven't seen it". So I KNOW that the Lord placed that scripture upon Matt's heart to share with me, that HE is here with me, walking every bit of the way with me. GOD is GOOD!!!

Here are pics of the PL cards I made with the scripture on them..  this was kinda neat, I was trying to print the cards on photo paper, but twice it came out on regular paper. No doubt that the Lord really wanted me to KNOW this scripture n' not only know it, but LIVE it!!!

I then cut out one of the printed out cards, and adhered it to my calendar/planner of which I use as a journaling planner. This is a monthly/weekly calendar that I purchased from WalMart, and everyday, I just write a little bit about my day and how it went.

A further view of the entire planner - sized 8-1/2 x 11

Another one of the print outs, I laminated it, adhered a strip of magnet to the back, and the stuck it to my fridge!

Awesome place to remind me of God's peace that surpasses, ALL understanding!

Another print out, I simply adhered it to the wall behind my computer, so that I can look up and just see the scripture right then and there. I used Washi Tape to adhere to the wall.

I also put one in my bible. Adhered it with washi tape,  where I am still able to flip the card and write in the column. I've seen so many other people's creativity and how they bible journal, and I have decided that I'm just gonna go with what I like to do, and run with it. I am not a great drawer, but I love working with digitals and even rubber stamps... if I can incorporate it somehow with my bible journaling, then I'm gonna go for it!! :)
Thanks for stopping by and sharing in this journey with me. I have more to share in another post.

Aloha,
Jen
