Swaps from October's Tag Swap

Greetings all... every month, I host a swap for my crafty sisters that want to join in. Last month, the theme of the swap was to create Christmas Tags. The amount to make was and always will be "just 4". The ladies came up with adorable tags, and I'm sharing them with you TODAY!!!!

Here is my tag... I already posted it earlier last month, but if you didn't see it, here it is. I created it using Little Scraps of Heaven Designs' "Ice Princess" SVG cut file, and Stampin' Up! stamps.

This is Grace's tag. She made 2 adorable tags.... this was her 1st one. And She made BOTH sides so CUTE!!! Thank You, Grace for putting in so much effort into your tags. We are truly blessed to have received them.

Here's the flip side to Grace's 1st Tag... so cute!!!
Here is Grace's 2nd tag.... She said I have this stamp... LOL! I believe her!

The flip side to her 2nd tag.

Here is Ali's tag... so yummy looking! Created on her eClips machine.

Here is Diane's tag. Sweet n' Simple!!!

Grace always blesses us swappers with a little bit of encouraging words, and they come in these lil' cards with "messages" inside. Mines read "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier." ~ Mother Teresa >>> Thanking the Lord for these attributes that are instilled in each and every one of us. You have the choice to make what your day will be... if you say it's gonna be a bad day, then it will, but if you chose to go with the blessings that you have, and thank the Lord for every and all things, big and small, you will surely see how TINY you are in this BIG world, and that you are very blessed, regardless of the situation you are going through. Our God is a BIG God, and a Mighty One at that! No task is TOO small for Our Lord n' Savior!!!

And here are all the tags together. So blessed to be a part of this swap. The ladies are all talented, and I just love seeing what they come up with every month. If you'd like to play along, just shoot me a message, and I will let you know all the details.

Thank you for stopping by!!
Aloha,
Jen

K-Cup Holder Gift

My crafty sister n' I wanted to start a 3D Swap between each other.  We started this month.  Just once a month.  Nothing too big.  Just simply sweet n' cute.  I went with decorating this adorable K-Cup holder with a cut file from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  The kit I got it from is called "Donut Forget".  I've added a Stampin' Up! stamp for the sentiment.  The K-Cup holder SVG cut is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope your week is going well!!

Blessings,
Jen

Appetizer Swaps - Received!!!

Hello, hope everyone is having a grand Saturday morning today... I have a "Scrap Session" this morning, so I'm trying to hurry and post this, as ladies will be arriving in 30 minutes.

My 6x6 Appetizer Swap was a success, it took a while, but it was still successful! I thank all of you that participated, and look forward to everyone participating again in any of my other swaps. If you'd like to join any of my swaps - just ck for my side bar, and any of those that are still "OPEN" you are welcome to join. Unfortunately, at this time - there isn't any open. But, in the future - just ck back, and you'll know what to do then.

So, this swap was for a 6x6 Recipe Swap, and the theme was "Appetizers" this time. This is the 3rd round that I'm doing of this type of swap, and I am so happy that my recipe book is really filling up with all these delicious artwork n' recipes!

I first made a 6x6 swap for "Vietnamese Spring Roll". It is pictured here. The recipe was so long, that I had to make it "card like" so that when you open up the page, then the "to do" part would be on the inside. I stamped the word "SPRING" in a way that would look like it's "rolling" - hence the name of the recipe. I used my CB embossing folder of a butterfly, which is a mini folder. Then went over it with my white gel souffle' pen.

Well after I received everyone's swap - I saw how pretty and glamourous everyone's swap were - and I thought that mines was just to plain. I didn't want to be the "talk of the swap" (we all know that there has been at least one time in anyone's swapping days that there is a "talk of the swap")...ahhhh... especially because I'm the host. See, that makes it even worse. But being the host gives me a benefit of being able to create another one last minute, and make it just as pretty n' glamourous as the others.

Therefore, I reached for my "Mister Crabby Pants" stamp set (which by the way has been renamed by my blog sistah, Dawn). This is the very first time I reached for this set, infact - it wasn't even mounted yet. But I wanted to use him... so that is the only one that I mounted. Anyways, I had to look for another recipe that would use up less space, and a perfect one at that - to match my Mister Crabby Pants stamp - "Hot Crab Spread". I also used a piece of DS paper from SU!'s Party Pieces Simply Scrappin' set... it went so well with it. But I gotta tell ya, when I first saw Mister Crabby Pants in the Spring Mini Catalog, I had no intentions of buying that set. I thought to myself...."gee, it's going to get boring making a card with a RED crab on it all the time"... get it?! I thought I could only color my crab RED!!! A red crab - just like the one on Tamashiro Market's sign and t-shirts (see insets) (it's a fish, crab, lobster n' gorcery store here on Oahu!)....But - I was totally inspired by Dawn's Crabby Pants gallery - and I know you will be too. I bet Stampin' Up! sold a lot of Mr Crabby Pants stamp sets....thanks to Ms. Dawn.... you go girl!!!

Well, here is what my 2nd attempt turned out like.... thank you Dawn, for all of your Crabby Pants inspirations!!! {{hugs, hugs}} I gave every participant 1 of my 1st attempt swaps, and these swaps below....

Info: CS - All SU!: Glorious Green, Ultra White, Only Orange; Inks: Black; Only Orange; Glorious Green; DS Paper: Party Pieces; Ribbon: Offray (which I recently bought during a ribbon craze!!!).

Just a quick note - thanks for everyone's comments these last couple of days! They all bring smiles to my face, and laughter into my life. Please keep them coming.

Ok - someone is here... so it's time to go!!

I got some RAK's that came in, so stop on back later on to view them.

Have an awesome Saturday!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Trying my Cuttlebug Monkey Die Cut

Well, today for my hubby's birthday, we headed out to the beach. To read more about our day at the beach - click here: My Ohana's Blog. To view more photos - click here: A Day At The Beach.

Anyways, I was able to make something simple today. And that is what I plan on doing daily - create at least 1 simple project, and then possibly throw in other stuffs here n' there. So, here is my 1 simple card for the day. I have been meaning to use my CB Monkey die cut for a while now... he's been so patient, just hanging there - looking at me with that cute puckering face. I'm glad that I've finally got to use him. I simply cut him out from an Ultra White Cardstock - and then colored in with my markers. The round embossed is also from CB. I cut the round embossed image out using my scallop scissors, and then layered on Chocolate Chip using my scallop scissors again. The sketch is the same sketch that Beate had on one of her challenges a couple of days ago. It's a pretty easy sketch, so I thought I'd use it again.

I also worked on altering a Spam Can today....but you'll have to wait til' tomorrow to see that. Because I've written a tutorial for that as well.... yea, kinda odd - I'm sure you already know how to alter a Spam Can, but I thought it would be neat to show you step by step how I altered this one. So come on back tomorrow, and check it out.

I haven't failed to notice that my visitor hits have already surpassed the big 5K! I can't believe how fast it climbing up there, and I totally appreciate everyone's interest in my creations n' ramblings. I will work on getting some Candi Pieces together, and post my question or challenge to you. So come on back for that too!!!
***UPDATE on Baby Swap: ALL but 1 swap has been received. I will be returning your swaps shortly - you will however receive 2 of your's back, being that 1 participator has not sent in her swap. ***Sorry All!!! Cannot help sometimes...***
***UPDATE on 6x6 Appetizer swap: ALL Swaps haven been received! (Received the last one this past weekend!!!). YAY!!! I'm looking forward in swaping all of these back out, and getting them out before the week ends. Thank you all that participated!! This was a huge group... next time, I'll have to split it in 2 groups. =0)

See ya tomorrow!

Toodles!

SAB Swap - Here are the photos....

Happy Saturday Morning Glamorous Bloggettes!

I have been meaning to post these photos of the most recent swap that I've hosted, which was the SAB 2007 Swap. We had only 4 participants, but it was good, since we only had a small amount of swaps to create.

By: Kelly T. By: Teri S. (Big Ideas From A Little Girl)

and By: Me
***Blogging Tip: Hey.... just thought I'd share this - you probably already know this, but who knows, someone out there might not know. Anyways - you know how when you upload multiple photos on blogspot they all end up at the very top of your post after uploading? Well, I used to have to drag each photo one by one to where I want it to be. I just found out that if you have a bunch of photos, and you want them to all be in the same area (left, right or center), then simply highlight ALL photos, then drag them all down after your postings. I found this out by aki-dent so toot by horn, will ya?! toot! toot!!
