One More Owl Card....

Hello All,

Happy Aloha Friday & Happy May Day to all my local Hawaii sistahs around the world!!!! May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii... I'm heading into town later, and going to see all the lovely sistahs (and braddah's too!) wearing their aloha leis... but I no moa one for me?!! LOL... das ok... it'll be very pretty. Hopefully I'll get to stop by the King Kamehameha statue, and see it draped in leis.... another hope is to get a photo of it. Wish me luck....

Here is another Owl created card for all of you. I was so happy to see that you all loved the previous owl card I created. Both were created using Nancy Kubo's Lil Owl Graphics. Here's what I used: CB Swiss folder, Spellbinder Circle & Circle Scallop Nesties, Hero Arts Blings, Prisma Flowers, SU! card stock and DS paper, and white acrylic paint for the dots.

Oh, and thank you all that have commented about that box I designed with the Cricut DS program. It was sooo much fun, and I'm glad that I'm able to share it with all of you.

It's A Boy Dino Card by Jodie Cole

Here's another adorable card by Jodie. I tell ya, this girl is just rolling along with creations. She's making me shame!! LOL!!! Ok, so this Whipper Snapper stamp is super cute, and can be found here. This one I brought in, it was too cute to pass up!!! I have GOT to play with this stamp!! Can't wait to get my hands on this one!!! This is such a great stamp to announce the arrival of a baby boy!!! Jodie also used the CB folder called "Argyle" - doesn't it pass for a quilt type of blankie?! Just like for babes?! She ran over the embossing with a white ink pad. LOVE it!! She used some dew drops to add some flavah, and the light blue organdy ribbon for flare! Sorry - the photo is kinda fu-fu!!

My 1st Sarah Kay Creation.....

As promised, here is the 1st of the Sarah Kay creations that I have for you. These lil' girls are such cuties!!! Ok, I did these cards for my girlfriends Gloria and Mama Wini. They came over the other day, and we did a swap between the 3 of us. Gloria is leaving the island to visit her daughter, who will soon make Gloria a Grandma!! So she wanted to get together and hang out before she left. We decided to swap some creations of our own, and this is what I made for them. The green layer was cut from a 12x12, so I decided to make 4 more instead of just 6. However, I am going to use 4 other Sarah Kay images for each card. I got the sketch layout from Friday Sketchers. This was their layout from week #10. I like this sketch. I love sketches with circles in them.... makes it more interesting.

For my card, the Sarah Kay stamp used is called "Precious Moments". I had 1 left this morning, and after I announced that being left, that's it.... "Kaput" it was SOLD!!!! LOL!!!! You know who you are... WISE CHOICE!!!! =0) The CB folder used on my green layer is Swiss Dots, and the CB folder used on my circle die cut is Swirls n' Curls. I colored my SK image with both Prismacolor Pencils AND Copic Markers. The Copics were used on skin, and hair... everything else was Prismacolor Pencils. I then cut the image out, and pasted using dimensional tape. Scallop & Circle die cuts are of Spellbinder. DS paper is Autumn Leaves....

Whipper Snapper Thank You

Happy Aloha Friday Ladies!!!!

Here is a card that I made using one of my Whipper Snapper stamps. I just LOVE Whipper Snapper stamps. They are just soooo cute to color in and to play with. Makes stamping so much fun, ya know?!?! I colored the image with my Copics, which I am still trying to learn how to use. I've been visiting several people's blogs, and trying to figure out "how'd they do that?!?!!"... on of the blogs I've been visiting is Malieta's. You just gotta go and check out her stuffs - especially this card, cause she colors people's faces "unreal kine" (which is the local way to say "unbelievably great!!!"). I can just sit and go through her stuffs, and just be in amazement. You ROCK, Malieta!!! Unfortunately, Malieta just posted some sad news, but we are all here for you girl!!! Hang in there!!!

The scallop die cut is a 2" "real size" die cut from my Cricut. I added dots to the scallop. DS paper is of Autumn Leaves, Sentiment, CS and Ribbon are SU!, and the embossing folder that I've used is called "Perfectly Paisley" (shown to the right) - this is one of the newer Cuttlebug embossing folders. I no longer have these in stock, so if you want a great deal - you gotta go check out J's Knicknacks or Provo Craft. They are the other 2 that carries these goodies.

Speaking of Provo Craft... I was working on Brian's Site today (All Natural Accents). I've added some Scrapbook Page Kits. These are kits that are all handmade, and comes with two 12" x 12" handmade paper. It's to make your own SB pages, but for all you card makers out there, I'm sure you can make great cards with them too!!! You can check out these adorable and cuddly kits by clicking here. We're going to post a "Spring Special" on there real soon, so I will keep you posted on what that ends up being.

I hope you all have a great weekend!!! Cyrus still isn't up to par - but thank you all for your get well wishes for him. Funny, because one of my friends came over yesterday to pick up some "goods" (Hi Char!!!), and she saw that Cyrus was his bouncy, hyper self... she said, "I thought he sick?!"... "yea, he still is, but the buggah not going let it slow him down", so I guess he at least has 1/2 of his energy left.... how fun for me.... me... I've got a sore throat, and have been feeling less energetic myself. But I feel like stamping - so I'm going to post this so that I can get to work!!!

Happy Aloha Friday!!!!

It's Friday!!! I have sooo much to do!!! How was everyone's V-Day yesterday?! To read about ours, click here.

So I'm working on trying to finish this Scrapbook Album for my friend Barbara, whose daughter is prego, and her shower is going to be this Sunday. She doesn't read my blog, so Jamie will be surprised!!!! I only got to work on 3 pages yesterday, and I have about 17 more to go! Yikes. But, gotta love the pressure.... I have a fund raising function for Chazz tomorrow, and I'm in charge of making the signs. Hah! I was going to just do it on my computer, but thought... "eh, I better use my Cricut, and make that suckah worth every penny". I gotta do that before I finish the album, cause the fund raising function is on Saturday, and the Baby Shower is on Sunday. So, I gotta stop what I doing on the album, and get to work on that sign. That should be fun.

But for now, I have here the 3 pages that I've worked on so far. The invitation was sent to my by Barbara, who made the invites. She used the recently released CB Disney folder of Winnie and Tigger. I wanted to incorporate sort of the same theme, so that, you know, the memories - she going have 'em. I put used the same folder as Barb did for the cover of my album. I took my black ink pad, and just smooshed it back n' forth directly on the embossed imaged, resulting in the black outline. I then colored in the sections of where it needed to be colored. This was cool, cause Tigger n' Winnie are both kinda orange. Well, I think Pooh is a little bit yellow, but I've seen sometimes where he's been orange. Well, if not, then he is on this one. Hahaha... Ok, so I colored in, and if you look close, you can see that some of the ink pad even went on the inner parts of the embossed image. But, thats ok, it just adds texture to it....

The 1st 2 pages I created using my Cricut. Cartridges I used are All Mixed Up, New Arrival, and Mini Monograms. I usually use my Cricut for projects like this, so glad that I'm putting it to good use. The one thing that I'm happy about getting the Cricut Expression, is that there is a function there that I can "flip" the image. You see the snork n' the baby? On my smaller Cricut, I could only cut one way, and I would be able to flip it, but then the cut would be going the other way. I know, probably no make sense - but it's a great feature, and something I like to use alot. The "S" that I cut out is also upside down. I like it the way I have it now, looked kinda retarded the other way. I used my glue pen to stick on those letters one by one. It was relaxing, and good fun to create. But I still have 17 more to go.


This page here is the "Stats" page. Every baby album needs a "stats" page, right? Well, I like to put it in there anyways. That gets the mom to write a lil' bit of something. I just hope she don't write too big, cause no more enough room. Hahaha... She just gotta write small, but if her baby has a long Hawaiian name, then she might be writing off the paper. Can you imagine?! Kamalaniehuliaoihalanikalikolehua.... holy moly!!! And no, that's not her name, I just made it up. hahhaa

Ok, well, gotta go, I have to work on the sign, then back to the scrapbook again. I'll post more pages as I complete them.

Oh wait... did anybody watch "Lost" last night?!?!?! Are there any "Lost" fans out there?!?!?! OMGosh... that show, it's making me more lost than ever. Now, they showing the people's lives in the future, when all this time they were showing their lives in the past. I love it!!! Also, how's Kate n' Sawyer, ya?!? Oh my.... at least somebody's getting their freak on while stuck on a deserted island. But what about Jack?!?!?! I know she loves HIM!! But Sawyer... yummy... he's the one that floats her boat. Va-va-va-voom!!! He makes a better love scene with Kate, anyways. I can't see Jack getting crazy and wild like Sawyer does.... hee hee... oh, and I just KNEW IT when Sayid walked into that room, that it was Ben talking and that would get that bullet out... could you tell? Did you know??!! I could tell... but why, Ben??!?! WTF?!?!?!?!? I can't wait til' next week.... man, the rate this show is going, I sure hope they don't pull the plug, cause they have so much more to go to finish the story!!! It gets better n' better. Oh, and the golf course that Sayid was playing at, where he shot the other guy - that was Turtle Bay Hilton's course (16th hole) - that's what Charlie said. hahaha.....

A Tutorial: Reverse Bold Stamp Coloring

Good Morning Blogland!!!!

It's Aloha Friday!!! Happy Aloha Friday!!! Hope all of you Die-Hard Hawaii fans are wearing those Muu'muu's and Aloha Shirts proudly today. Here's hoping that you're weekend is a grand one... I have a simply tutorial for all of you. I don't know what it's called, I just made up the name myself, I call it "Reverse Bold Stamp Coloring". You know with bold stamps - we color directly on to the stamp itself with either an ink pad, or a marker? Well - this time, you'll be coloring on the paper/cardstock that you stamp the image on. It really is pretty simple as 1-2-3....

You will need: Your bold stamp, markers with fine and brush tips to color in your image, and a light colored ink pad.

Step 1: - stamp your image in a light color ink pad (in this case, it's the same color I'm using for the lion's body).









Step 2: Use your fine tip marker to outline the sections that you would like to color in with your dark marker.














Step 3: Color in your sections....




This is pretty much a simple technique to do. Here are the cards I've made with these images. Both are the same layout - just different sentiments. I will try and post more samples of this technique soon.


Cards Details: Lion Stamp - TAC "Wild For You", DS Paper - DCWV, CS - SU! Summer Sun & Ruby Red, Grosgrain Ribbon - SU! Burgundy, CB Folder - Blooming Spots, Sentiments Stamps "Hello You" - Hero Arts, "Congratulations" - TAC. I embossed the cardstock, and then rubbed with my brown ink pad, right over the cardstock to bring out the embossing of the card.

Whatever Wednesday (on a Thursday)

It's Whatever Wednesday (on a Thursday) again..... 2nd week in a row, I am behind on Whatever Wednesdays... anyways - here are 3 of the projects that were made during my 5 for $5 session on the 6th of October. I will share the other 2 within the next few days (spread them out)....

This first one here is the post-it note thingy that I made several weeks ago. I made the pumpkin green, to make it look like Frankenstein, and then drew knobs on each side of his head.... as you can see - I totally forgot about coloring the top of the pumpkin, but it's ok - make it look more like a Frankenstein head, eh?!?! The buttons are the ones from my cousin. I sure am putting them to good use. Everything else is of TAC.

All you need to do is measure the size of your post it note, then cut 2 of those for both the back n' front of the post it. Then cut the spine the width of the post it note by 2". Adhere and decorate....whala!!!

Project #2 here is a simple card.... I embossed the CS with CB's "Textile Texture" folder for the background, then rubbed with my black ink pad - directly on to the CS. For the sentiment, I used the large and small oval punches from SU!. Everything else is TAC.

The witch on this stamp reminds me of me when I used to take pictures as a kid. I used to ALWAYS turn my feet into each other... funny thing is, Chazz does the same thing. hhaahaha - too funny!!!!!




This project here - I wanted to allow my attendees the chance to use a stamp set that wasn't meant for Halloween - but yet create it as one. Turned out pretty cute, eh?! The elephant is from TAC's "Wild About You"set, and I drew in the mask.... a lot of the ladies didn't want to draw in the mask themselves, as they really thought that this was a stamp as well. Fortunately, I was on hand to draw in the mask for them. I used the label punch from SU!, and the CB folder is "Divine Swirls".

It was a fun day last Saturday - and I have another session coming up this Saturday called "Creative Tablets".... we'll be decorating composition tablets, and I have yet to get ready for this upcoming session.

Ten Minute Tuesday

Ten Minute Tuesday is about creating projects in 10 minutes or less. I don't really "time" myself - I just make it, and then think...hmmmm....that was about 10 minutes. Hahaha.... making the card is a breeze... it's trying to think of what I want to make that takes forever!!!! Anyways, I made this for Mama Wini - she went on a vacation with her hubby.... this card is also for Stampingranny's Challenge - where you can use the card 2 ways. I think this fits that category, if not, she'll just boot me, huh Grams?!?!

Simply Sweet Saturday & Naming My Days...

Good Morning.... it's "Simply Sweet Saturday" today. I've decided to add some fun again, and name my days and try and make my creations based on them (using my "same stamp company for a week" method as well). Well, today is "Simply Sweet Saturday", so I've created something simply sweet.

Here's a peek at what my "days" will be called....

• Sham Battle Sundays - I'm putting out a "challenge" every Sunday. A small prize will be given out weekly. It may be a sketch, color combo, technique, or scrap challenge - but you'll need to check and see what it is that I'm challenging you to do on Sundays.
  
• Making Manic Mondays - Mondays is the day I will try other people's challenges...ohh boy!!! this is a tough one for me.... this will also be the day that I debut the "NEW" stamp company that I will create with for the week.
  
• Ten Minute Tuesdays - I will feature creations that take me only 10 minutes or less to make. Taking this idea from the "Take Ten" magazine.
  
• Whatever Wednesdays - Creating whatever I can fit in....
• TuTech Thursdays - On this day I will feature a tutorial or technique
  
• Funfilled Aloha Fridays - All about FUN!!! May or may not be able a day of creation - but it will be a day full of fun!!!
• Simply Sweet Saturdays - My simply sweet creations will be posted on this day. Also, the winner of the "Sham Battle Challenge" of the week will be announced on Saturdays as well.
  

So what?! How does it sound?!?!! Of course, I'll have all sorts of other postings "in between".... KWIM!?!?! Not sure if I can even do it - but like I said, gotta set some goals, so that I can get on the ball.... play along with me if you'd like - just let me know the link to your creation, and I will post it here!


On to my creation.... I saw this card over at Dawn's, then went to see how to create it from Jan. I don't like to take notes on measurements and instructions, so I just look at pictures, and try to figure out how the heck she did it. Jan's tutorial helped - but I didn't read what her instructions were - but I still got the idea. KWIM?!?! Anyways.... here is my simply sweet card for you today. If I create more - I will be sure to share them with you.

The stamp company I am using for this week is "TAC". Stamp is from Baby Steps. CB folders are Spot n' Dots and from the Baby mini series. My scallop is cut from my Cricut at size 1-3/4", Ribbon is from Walmart, tag punch is EK Success (image), and then I cut around with pink card stock to make a larger tag. I want to make more of these cards. They were pretty fun to do!!! So I just might be back!!!

In the meantime, have a great Saturday - and come back tomorrow to see what challenge I will be having for "Sham Battle Sunday".

A Birthday Card For Cheryl Sims....

Cheryl Sims of Cheryl Stamps n' Scraps celebrated her birthday the ending part of August. I was late in sending her card, but she finally got it in the mail yesterday... naughty me. Spank me, will ya?! tee hee... anyways... Cheryl is a stamping sistah that I've met online through blogland. She's continued to support me n' my blogging habits by stopping by and always leaving me thoughtful messages, and ya know, our correspondences turns into a friendship. It happens all the time in blogland, right?

So, here's the card I made for this birthday girl. As you can see... I'm totally trying to layer and use my water color techniques... I'm not giving up, no I'm not giving up!!!

A Tutorial & A Card: Layering & Cutting Paper To Size

Hello my peeps.... my DL and friend, Janaina has asked me to do a tutorial on how to cut paper to the size of the stamp, as well as layering thereafter. So, this one's for you, Janaina and those out there that are new to stamping....

I first begin by measuring the size of my stamp. If your stamp is mounted, you can still do this. Infact, it is easier if it is mounted to wood, as I would just use the size of the wood as the measurement. Anyhoos.... I measure this way first, which is the height of the stamp
it isn't exactly 2", but I measure to the nearest inch or 1/4 inch, therefore this would be 2"



I



Then turn the stamp 90 degrees, and then measure this way - which is the length, and it is nearly 3".

So, the first layer of card stock or paper that I would cut would be 2" x 3" - because this would be suffice to fit the entire image of my stamp.




Now for the layering. I usually like to stamp my image on white card stock, so I will start with that layer. From the above measurements, I know that I need to cut my first layer at 2" x 3". That is exactly what I do here.







For my layering, I measure every 1/4" there after (whether I am going larger or smaller), since I am going larger in this tutorial, I will cut my next layer at 2-1/4" x 3-1/4". I only use 2 layers in this tutorial, but should you want to go 1 more layer, your next measurement to cut would be at 2-1/2" x 3-1/2", or if you'd like to go smaller, then 1-3/4" x 2-3/4".





I then stamped my image, layer on card stock, and then dressed up the rest of the card. Here is what I made with the stamp, and card stocks that I used for this tutorial.

I made this card for my sister Nasha. She's my real sister, who lives in California. She's been helping me out with the shipment of my TAC starter kits not only for myself - but also for all those that are signing up under me, that lives in the State of Hawaii. Shipping would've been $65, but because they are shipping to her first in Cali, and then to Hawaii, we're saving $25 - which can totally go towards MORE STAMPS.... what else? hahaha....

Which by the way, brings me to tell ya that I would like to welcome a New Angel to my Team of Angels!!!! Yeee Haw!!!! Her name is Velma Okumura (Hi Velma!!!), and she's a sistah from Honolulu, Hawaii. That makes 4 Angels on my team!!! Holy Moly!!!! I'm totally grateful for all of these ladies that has decided to join me on my journey..... totally grateful!!!

OKie Dokie... Charlie asked me to help him with a "work project" - oh wow, how cool is that?! So, I might be absent from blogging for a few days. But, I will try n' be sneaky, and post when I can.... I also have my first "Birthday FUNshop" this Friday night. Me n' some stamping girls are getting together for Teri's belated birthday fun, and I'm going to Demo some TAC products that evening. What a great idea, eh?! Wini' n' I came up with the idea of celebrating Teri's birthday at Wini's house, and Wini is so graciously giving up her hostess benefits and allowing the birthday girl to be the hostess instead... if you're interested in something like this for your stamping sister that is celebrating her birthday, contact me for more info!!!!

Maria's & Beate's Challenge

It's been a while since I've been able to do some crafting. I finally had some time today to try out Maria's TIC Challenge from last week Tuesday - which I was to create a "scrappy card". Adding the photo makes it very scrappy!! I think I'm late....but anyways, I also incorporated Beate's challenge using her sketch that can be found here.....it was a perfect combo.

Here is my card.... The flowers were embossed and cut out. I used one of the newest CB mini embossing folders that I recently got, then added a Hero Art bling for middle. Have you noticed that I'm trying to make use of my blings at every chance that I've got?! I embossed my card base with CB's "Swirls" embossing folder. The foxy ladies in the photo is your's truly, and my GF Terry. That was back in the days of clubbing - and when I had eye brows. =0)

NEW Cuttlebug & Cricut CHA Products!!!

Ladies... it's CHA time!!! And Cuttlebug and Cricut has come out with some very cool stuffs!!! I already placed my order, but looks like I'll have to be placing another order soon - if there are interested ladies out there. They came out with new embossing folders - mostly Disney type ones - oh those in love with Mickey n' his friends will be very happy. I totally love the Tinkerbell one - that's why I had to show it to ya!!! - down there.....). New die cuts.... a new mini machine (off to the left - up there ^ ) - it's made for kids, called the "Cuttlekids"...so that we can introduce crafting to our children "the fun n' cute way".... but it looks like Sizzix's Sidekick, doesn't it?! Because I didn't attend CHA this year, I can only gather info from what I've seen on their web. They also have new die cuts for their new "Cuttlekids" (see lamb to the right), but I'm thinking that it's the same size as their 2x2 dies. Well, I ordered some **new** products so that I could check it out for myself and for my customers before they decide on what to get. But if you can't wait - head on over to their website, and you'll see for yourself! They have a new storage folder system for their embossing folders, t0o!! Oh and another thing - new "combo cuts" (pearl frame pictured here), it's a combo of cuttin' n' embossin' - oh my!!... very cute... but once again, mostly Disney stuffs.... On the Cricut side... there are 2 new cartridges, again, Disney... and they also have some new paper pads, and get this Vinyl!!

I've Been Quiet, Huh?!

I know... it's crazy for me too when I'm quiet. It was driving me up the walls, but I had to get stuffs done on my Little C's site. Ok, before we go on.... just a few things to mention to all of those that are interested.... I've added a Feedblitz subscription button on my Little C's site, so that if you'd like to receive an email update whenever I post updates on my inventory, and sales whenever I post. Just like on here. After awhile, I will stop posting updates about that site on this site.... just cause I don't want to mix the two, ya know? Anyways, I've also uploaded my inventory list on that site for Hero Arts, Penny Black, and Whipper Snapper, which I will no longer be carrying. I have also posted what I currently have in my Cuttlebug stock. After I sell these out - I will no longer carry a standing inventory, but will sell these on an "by order" basis. I've added a button to my LC's site to my sidebar for easy access.... so go and check it out.

Anyways, I need a break from that site..... I miss all my sisters on here!!! It's time that I get back into blogging n' creating!!! So, this one is for all of you... I have been seeing plenty of these ladybugs around. First with Paper Trey stamps, and then with Stampin' Up!'s Pick A Petal set. How cool is it to create a stickin' cute ladybug with the Pick A Petal set. That is way too cool!!! When I saw the ladybug made with SU!'s Pick A Petal...I was like..."wow"... and I saw it here, on Corie's website. I made sure that I too had to create one of these ladybugs...and I did!!!

Card Info: Size is 5-1/2 x 5-1/2; CS is Eggplant Envy & Regal Rose; Ribbon - Walmart; Ladybug is made with "Pick A Petal" SU! set, 3/4" circle punch, ink is Lavendar Lace and Certainly Celery. I also used my Sakura Gel Pens for dotting the scallops (which by the way was cut out the same way that I demonstrated on my video the other day, using my Cricut Exp...) oh, and I almost forgot...my CB Embossing Folder "Thanks"

Just For You....and Just For A Challenge

Happy Monday Sisters!!!!


I brought in a whole batch of stamps from Stampendous for my "Little C's Gifts n' Things" online and on site store location. I figured I should play with some at the same time, demonstrating some samples for my customers. I haven't uploaded any of these stamps just yet - as I always give my e-mail customers the chance to purchase these, prior to uploading. For 1) this saves me time in not having to go online and do inventory and 2) most of the time, my stuffs sell out before I even post them online. Ok, on to my card... so this very cute ladybug stamp came from Stampendous... I was working with some Cert Celery CS on my previous post, and I had the other half to use, so I used it with this card. The BG paper is from 3 Bugs, and the other half is a CB embossing folder called "Dots n' Spots". The ribbon has an adhesive back - which I totally love, cause it's a no brainer - just cut the length that you want - and stick! I used my scallop scissors to cut the scallop border around my ladybug stamp. Adhered the Cert Celery CS to one side of the design, then cut around with my scallop scissors, then adhered the Black CS to the other side, and cut around that. Just had to be careful to sorta line it up where it would meet, but other than that, it was pretty easy to do. Oh yea, after I made this card, I was blurfing, and found that there was a challenge going on at Caardvarks' website. It is to use circles as the main focus of your card. Yay!!! How cool - I already have this one made for it.

For My Newest Baby Niece

I love this set - "In The Spotlight" - I've used it create my last 3 projects that I've posted so far. I made this especially for my niece "Eilinah" that was just born to my friend "Indai" Hanilie and her hubs - Braddah Brian, and you all know by now that she named her baby after her, just with her name backwards. Yea, Lei (short for Hanilie) is corny like me. But I didn't think a boys name of "Nej" would've sound good. hahaha.... I wanted to give this card to the little one to welcome her home, and I wanted to give it an "aloha look". I've used the flower from "In The Spotlight" because it kinda looks like a plumeria flower which is common here, to use as a "Lei" - which you present to someone when you welcome them home, or if they are going "bye-bye". Lei is very "aloha" herself - even though she's not Hawaiian... well, most of us here are very "aloha" anyways....it just becomes a part of us. I think she's going to love this card.... I'm not worried about her seeing it on here - cause she's not into stamping n' scrapping, so not to worry - I'm not spoiling her surprise....tee hee!!! I'm mailing out a box of goodies to her on Monday.

Card Info: "In The Spotlight", "I'm Here" stamp sets, yellow brads, gingham ribbon and cardstocks are SU!, DS paper from DCWV, lil' toesies is a cuttlebug mini embossing folder from the "It's A Boy" set. Used my scallop scissors to cut diagonally across my DS paper then pierced with my paper piercer within each scallop.

A Tutorial: Creating Chipboard With The Cricut Machine

WOW!!! Everybody adores Alli-girl, huh?! See, I knew there are people all over the world feeling the same way I do about that woman. She truly deserves our vote. Thank you all for putting in your vote for her - hopefully we'll be able to push her up to the top!!

So today, the weather is pretty nice, with a lil' sprinkly of rain here n' there. But, I promised the kids that we'd go to the pool. So, here I am - sitting at the pool while the kids are bobbing up n' down (my girlfriend is holding the lil one). I totally wanted to post a photo of them, but mento me - forgot the camera battery at my sister's house (charging). So I worked on this tutorial instead.....

Do you love chipboard?! I love chipboard! I love working with it, and using it on my projects. It's sturdiness and thickness takes my projects to a different level of dimension. I also love my Cricut Machine. It does everything for me - except it doesn't cut through chipboard! But wait.... have you thought of using it to create a chipboard instead?! That's exactly what I did!! And look what it turned out like...

Sketch Challenge #1

I've decided to have Sketch Challenges Weekly. I'm really doing this for myself, because after doing Beate's sketch challenge the other week, I found that it was much easier to create, since the sketch was already laid out for me. Therefore, I've come to a conclusion that I'd do a new sketch weekly, and challenge myself to do the same sketch, throughout the week.

Celebrating 5000 Hits & 100th Post

Woowie!!! How fun!!! I'm having a great time keeping this blog up to date with creations and ramblings of my life. It gives me great pleasure to give these CANDi Pieces away!!! You have all been so supportive, and just great "ears" to listen, ya know?!





I'm celebrating 5000 hits, and my 100th posting on this blog. I didn't know I had so much things to "say". Anyways, here's the goods....
