Throwback Thursday Challenge #TTC003

Greetings all!!  It's another week of Throwback Thursday Challenge... we are on challenge #3, being #TTC003.  This challenge is getting to be so much fun.  Love seeing all of your projects, your creations are all too cute, and I'm thrilled that we are all getting to out our oldies but goodies and inking them up.  First to announce the winner of last week's challenge... here is our winner chosen randomly by Ramdom.Org:
#1 was this card, created by Ali-Gurl:

Such a pretty card!!  Please contact me and send me your mailing address, and I will mail out your prize to you.  Thanks again to all those that played along!!  Now on to this week's challenge... 1st our prize for this challenge is another stamp from CC Designs. It is a rubber stamp on cling foam. Brand New in package:

And here is my sample card for this week's challenge:
Aw, I had so much coloring this one.  It's the 1st time I've used it, and it's a Whipper Snapper stamp that I've purchased several years ago.  I can't believe I've waited this long to use it. But I guess this challenge is even helping me to use my hoarded collection of stamps, and that's a good thing!!!  :)  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers, sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts. Pretty simple card.

I am submitting my card to the following fun challenges out there:

Now for the rules on how to play along:
  1. Use any retired stamps or stamps that are older than last year.
  2. Post your project to the web.
  3. Link back to this blog post.
  4. Add the link to your blog post or projects photo to the Linky Tools box below.
  5. If you are out of the US, you are welcome to still submit your work, however, at this time, the challenge prize is currently open to only US residents, or US Military Residents residing outside of the US (with APO addresses).
  6. Have Fun!!!!
Ok, your turn.....

Two Peas In A Pod Friendship

Greetings, and welcome back!!!  Yes, another friendship card to share with you today.  I have no idea where this image came from, because I unmounted all my wood stamps and remounted them on cling foam.  I have a feeling that it is a Whipper Snapper stamp.  Funny, because I haven't used this one in a while.  Love all my old stamps... seems so long ago since I last used them....

Blessings ~

Whipper Snapper Birthday Card using Flutter By Wednesday's Sketch #232

Aloha all.. here is a card I created this weekend for a very special

lil' girl that turned 3 years old.  I wanted to start dipping into my basket of un-used stamps, because they have been sitting there collecting dust.  There is no better time to get them off the shelf and created with, right?  Well, to help my inspiration flow, here is a sketch that I've followed.  I didn't follow the rules to the "tee", because I only saw the sketch on Allison's pageNonetheless, I loved the sketch, and wanted to use it for this project. :)  This sketch if from Flutter By Wednesday, Sketch Challenge #232! :)

Here's how my project turned out...

Happy New Baby

Aloha! Happy Monday!! How was your weekend? Mines was a lot quieter than last week's bought of stomach virus. The fam-bam is back in tack and back on track. Praise The Lord. It was pretty tough to go through that stuff, but what else can you do? You can only let the virus take it's course, and get the yuckies out of our tummies, right? Well, so happy that it is soooo over!!

Here is today's project. It is a baby card that I created for a card order. The punch that I used for the sentiment is from Stampin' Up!. This punch is a punch that Ali is trying to decide to get. Ali, get it! LOL.... It has so much diversities... and I am sure so much easier n' quicker to use. Once she has it, she'll be happy she made that choice of purchasing it, right? Hee hee...

The image on this card is a Whipper Snapper image, which I colored with my Copics. Speaking of Copics, I have been using them recently, coloring some images for a Sexy Blog Hop we will have in February. I've been having so much fun with my Copics lately, it reminded me of how much I love this hobby!!

Anyways, I have added another "creative goal" to my list of things I want to accomplish this year. I have decided that I want to start reposting photos to my "Hawaii Photos By Jen" blog. I will post a daily photo, and if you have a chance to check it out - please stop on by. Thanks again for your support in my crazy creativity activities. I really appreciate it!!

God Bless...
Jen

Card Creations of This Week....

Hello!! It's is 3:30 am, and I am wide awake!!! I went to bed at 11 pm, and got up at 2, lay in bed for an hour before I finally slipped away into my little corner of the house, where my craft table and puters are. So here I am.... I haven't posted anything to my blog in a couple of weeks, so I figure I put up some pics of projects that I have worked on a few weeks or so ago.

Here they are:

Image: Whipper Snapper, Sentiment: My Favorite Things, Colored with Copics

Image: CC Designs (digital), Sentiment: Stampin' Up!, Image colored with Copics

Image: Gorjuss Girls, Sentiment: Stampin' Up!, Image colored with Copics

So how is everyone doing? I have been quite busy with my boys. They are still on Summer Break, and will return to school this Thursday. It has been a long summer.... but we had so much fun together, lots of laughter, tears, and joy (not necessarily in that order). Oh!! My friend Colleen from Cali came here for a little vacay, and it was so nice to see her. I will post pics of that later. I haven't really crafted much these last couple of weeks, and have been missing it plenty. I have had orders of projects, so that's been keeping me busy. I have a bunch of "stuffs" to post, but just haven't had a time. Since I am wide awake this earlly morning, maybe I will pre-post some blog postings and get them up.

Anyways, I miss you all... Much Hugs, Jen

The Aloha Friday Post

Hi Gang... with yesterday's devastating earthquake that took place in Hoson, Japan, the 8.9 earthquake triggered a Tsunami warning to take place here in the State of Hawaii. Needless to say, people across the islands, that resided on the shoreline were evacuated. Those who were safe at home probably stayed up all night watching the news, like myself, just waiting to see if the Tsunami was going to hit or not. It was scheduled for a 2:59 am arrival. By 10:45 pm, Thursday evening, sirens were going off every 30 minutes. Although I tried to get my rest in between sirens, I could not help but to be glued to the television whenever they showed clips of Japan and what terrifying events were taking place over there. Please join me in prayer as we pray for our fellow brothers n' sisters there in Japan.

Here in Hawaii, we were in a Tsunami watch til' 7:55 am, this (Friday) morning. Although 3 waves have hit that were not endangering to lives, we were still on a Tsunami watch because experts believed that even the 10th wave may be the strongest. But Praise the Lord, He has given us mercy, and spared our lives. My oldest, CY4 is heading off to camp this weekend, with his school, and camp is along the shoreline. Please keep them in prayer as well.

I thank all of you for your prayers, hugs and concerns for all of us here in Hawaii. It was a real blessing to hear from you all through email, Facebook and texting. I send big hugs, aloha and blessings your way as well. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Now on to some craft news. I have decided to start posting only on 1 day every week. And since I live on the Aloha State, I figured post on Aloha Friday!! So here I am. I will share several projects on this day, and it'll be like a weekly newsletter, rather than a daily encounter. Making it easier on you, my readers, and those that like to comment and visit other blogs, this'll cut down the time that you visit with me, and allow you to spend more time visiting other blogs out there. I owe this idea to my buddy Curt, of Curt's World. Thanks Buddy!!!!

So here are the projects I have for today's Aloha Friday Post:

Here I have 2 of the types of Tea Boxes I created on the Design Studio for cutting on the Cricut Expression Machine. These boxes are available for purchase here.

I created this Gate Folded card for a friend who lost her dear sweet doggie. The image is from Whipper Snapper.
Here is the message I printed with my computer....

Here are 2 simple cards I created using a Stampin' Up! set I recently purchased. I was sharing with a friend of mines how easy it is to create a simple card. She's not into crafting (at least not yet!! hee hee hee!!!).

Before I end here, I wanted to let you all know that I have a LOT of Stampin' Up! Ink Pads and Refills up for bid on eBay. 41 Slightly Used Ink Pads (3 are still sealed in wrap), and 27 NEW Refills (4 lightly used, but MORE than half filled). Starting bid @ $0.99. More Items To Be Posted. Click on the photo below to view and post YOUR bid, if you are interested in adopting this LOT of Ink Pads and Refills.

That's it!! God Bless n' Be Safe and Enjoy your weekend!!

Aloha,

Jen

Little C's Challenge - Inspired By a Pic...

Hello n' Good Morning! I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!! It's Tuesday, and you know what that means.... Challenge Time!!!! The challenge that the Little C's Diva is putting out to you is to create a project with inspiration that you receive from the photo on the left....

You may be inspired by it's layout, the colors used, or an image within the image. Whatever it is that inspires you to create on your project, that is what we want to see.

Here is what I came up with...

Ok, so I used the color scheme that is featured. I also liked the "stripes on the walk way, so I wanted to incorporate that within my project as well. I used Copic Sketch Markers to color my image, and spellbinders to cut the circle n' scallop circle. Image is from Whipper Snapper. I also added some Crystal Glaze to the yellow heart, but I don't think you can see it in the pic. This card is for my hubby.... his birthday is coming up on the 3rd of June. Hope he likes it!!!

Alrighty then, if you are in the mood, and want to play along, we challenge you to join the fun!! Check out the Little C's Challenge Blog for details on this challenge, and we look forward in seeing what you create with the Pic of the week!!

Aloha,
Jen
