Hello There! Thanks for popping in... today I have a Gable box, decorated for a friend who celebrated her birthday. I have this cut as a SVG format, but for some reason, cannot locate it. I will work on another one, and have that Gable Box posted here shortly. I do have another treat for ya today tho'. Check it out... On this Gable Box, I used a Cricut cut for the sentiment "Happy Birthday", and then I used a flower from Accent Essential cart to create the Rose looking flower, that looks almost like the Sizzix 3D Flower (shown on left). Here's a little tutorial to show you how I did it:
First, I cut out two 4" flowers, which like I mentioned earlier, I got from Accent Essential cart. You could probably do this with any flower type cut of which it's petals are not deeply cut in. So try it!!
With these 2 flower cuts, I am going to use 2 different types of scissors, just to show you that you can use any type of scissors, and the results will still be the same - cute n' purdy!!
Ok, so here is the part where you cut into your flower. Start from a petal, and then cut in a swirl, going smaller, and smaller into the center of your flower. For the scallop scissors, I just cut in a circle, for the regular scissors, I cut in a circle, but I add some "waves" while cutting, so that I could somewhat replicate the petals.
Ok, so here it is, the sample of my Bunny Basket. I took pics, so that I can share with you how to put it together.... I thought it turned out pretty cute. For those of you that downloaded the cut file, you might want to download it again, because I adjusted the basket part a lil' bit.
Cartridges required: George & Doodle Charms. These cuts are on sheet 1 & 2. These 2 cuts will make the basket. I cut it on tan Bazzill Basic card stock. Following the score marks on each cut, I score them accordingly. After scoring, I will place the piece like a "+".. see next photos for placement of double stick tape. Placement of adhesive: After placing the adhesive, and putting the basket together, it'll look like this: Now to work on the bunny... I cut out the pieces from sheet #3. On the top 1-6 inches, I use a white Grace Pacific card stock, on the bottom 6-12 inches, I cut on pink DSP. I also cut a strip of black CS, which'll be used for behind the eyes of the bunny. I attached the pinks (ears and nose), the black strip on the back of the bunny's eyes. I use my black sharpie pen to draw in the mouth and whiskers (these lines are already there, because it is part of the cut, you're simply "highlighting" these colors). I draw 3 lines on the smaller circles, these'll be the paws of my bunny. When complete, and with paws in place, it'll look like this.... Now to attach to the basket. Place the adhesive to the box like this, and then add the head and bum to the other side. After adhering the bum, I add a cotton ball to it.
I add some goodies to the inside of the basket to show how it looks with something in it. Here is the complete project: I hope you enjoy this fun cut, just in time for Easter. It's cute, but don't forget the REAL reason for the season.... Jesus, that is. It is the time when God sacrificed His only Son, Jesus, for you and me, so that His son could be the lamb of all sacrifices for all of our sins. It is the time when Jesus rose from the dead and proved Himself to many people that He has risen. There was no bunny passing out eggs & candies. As it gets closer to Easter, I will share with you about how the "hunting of eggs/goodies" tie in with Jesus' last days before His crucifixion. I pray that you would be blessed with this information.
Here's a little tutorial to show you how I created chipboard using a couple of die cuts and card stock.
I first select the snowflake cut that I wanted to use, which is a snowflake from the cartridge called "Joys of the Seasons". I JUST picked up this cartridge. I had my eyes on it for a LONG time, and finally found a STEAL of a price (even lower than my wholesale cost), so of course, I went for it. Anyways, so here I am.... I'm going to cut four of the exact same cut, I use the "Copy" and "Paste" features on the program, so that my cut are identical. I then push the button to have them cut out.
Next I glue each snowflakes on top of each other creating a "thicker" piece of die cut, thus creating my chipboard thickness.
By the time I layer on the last die cut, it is already quite thick. Cardstock that I've used here is SU!'s Bashful Blue - one of my favs!! Now all I need to do is make it glimmer... and I do this by spraying some adhesive on the top of my chipboard, and then adding glitter dust.... When it is all done with, it's a pretty lil' thing like this!!! Here is my completed card.... Have a great day!!
I've started something weekly... you know me, always trying something new. I've started to give away my creations, as prizes for these silly games I like play. Last week, I had the game on PCP, and it was called "Keep One, Drop One word game" - that game went well, and the winner of that prize - which was the Hello Kitty Purse n' Note Pad set that I had (with Chocolate Macadamia Nut Hershey Kisses), was won by Gracie!! Those that participated were entered into my drawing, and then a winner was randomly chosen. I would like to continue this kinda games, and if you would like to play - then you will win. HOWEVER - I will be moving this game to Thursdays, because on Tuesdays, it'll be Little C's Challenges!!!! Yay!!!! So, gotta keep those days open so I can make sure I am doing them challenges, right!!?!?! Monday's I'll have the Christmas Blog Challenges... I want to somehow pre-designate themes of cards for me to create, so I'm not stuck in the "hmmmm... what to create now?" mode. I hope I can have a daily challenge for myself... but bwahahahahaha... am not sure if that's going to happen!!! Hahahhaa... For today's project & game prize, I created 5 Money Holder Envelopes. All were cut on my Cricut Machine, and the template for the envelopes was created by Your's Truly. =0) I used the George cartridge with my Design Studio program, and went to work. Brian gave me an Acuccut template to work off of. Yea!!! That was fun creating!!! I also made a video, so that for those interested in the Cricut Machine, can get a feel of how it works.
To give each envie a look of it's own, I've used my cuttlebug mini embossing folders. Pretty simple right!?!
I am not sure if Money Envie's are popular in your area, I mean, everyone loves receiving cash, but in a designed envie? It's either placed in a card, or nowadays giving Gift Cards are more popular. I know that the oldies here in Hawaii are used to giving money in a money envelope. Even the banks here have courtesy money holder envies for their customers that like to use them. At least I think theyare free . I used to see them from Bank of Hawaii. If any of your locals know what I'm talking about, please shed a light on me.....

Hi All... I made a shaker card for a 1st birthday party we attended today, and did a tutorial on it. Here is a photo of the completed card, when you shake it, the beads that is inside the "1" will move back n' forth. So, here's how I made it....
Suuplies: I used my Cricut Expression and Design Studio to help me create this card. You will also need a sheet of acetate, and some dimensional double stick tape, you could use 3M or other striped type of foam double stick tape. You will need beads to create the "shake" in your card. I used SU!'s bright beads - not sure if they are extincted or not. Rubber stamp images to decorate your card, and stamps for sentiments.
Ok, so I set up my Cricut, only using the size of what I would like my card to be - which is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". I load it into my Cricut.
Using the Design Studio program, I know exactly where I am going to cut my "1" at, I just need to make sure that I do not go beyond the measurements of my card. I used the cartridge Alphalicious for this project. I then cut the # out - thus creating a window for my project.
Here is the cut out that I did with the Cricut. Now, for acetate - I am using the flat part of a TAC plastic stamp container. I have been saving these ever since I've signed up with TAC, and now these are one of the ways I can use them. Cut out the flat part, and use as a window for my shaker card creations. After I cut out the flat part of the plastic stamp container, I adhere it to the back of the card. Make sure it is secured and it will not move. I used my ATG tape. =0)
Apply double stick foam tape around the perimeter of the window, be sure to make sure all edges of double stick tape are touching, and enclosing a little section - as this is the area where the beads will be contained. Now apply double stick foam tape on the edges of your card stock (use the same ones, because if you use another type, the thickness of the difference in tape will throw off the project). Peel off protective covering of tape (it's easier to peel protective layer off before adding the beads, to lessen the amount of beads bouncing out of the barriers. Add the amount of beads you would like to within the enclosed barriers of the double stick foam tape. I am using this mini spoon that you could collect from 31 Ice Cream (go and ask for some samples, and keep the spoons for free) - or you can purchase them from your LCS (Local Craft Store) for about $5 for 10. Push in any stray beads that stick to the foam tape. Don't RUSH!!! Spread beads out, if beads are on top of each other, sealing the card will be a problem. Make sure all beads are leveled, and not piled on top of each other. Take a card base, that you will place right on top of your shaker creation, lining it up with the edges (you can see a tint of blue right where I lined up my card). The sticky of the double stick foam tape will adhere the card stock to the card base. Flip over, decorate with other stamp images (I used the AL stamp set that I got from my girlfriend Cheryl - thanks chickie!!!), I then cut out the images, and placed where I wanted them to go. Stamped the sentiment directly onto the card. Now shake around, and see those beads move up n' down. Hope you likes this tutorial, and you'd get a chance to make one of your own.
