You Are Loved

This darling sheep image is from Doodle Bug Designs. I just love how these cards turned out. The sheep was colored with watercolor, added some foam tape to the back, and stuck it on my card. ;) I used this card sketch from Pinterest.

Aloha,
Jen

Mixed Media Booklet Cover

Aloha All!!

Hope your week is going well. I am starting to love what I do again (creating), and I'm enjoying the blogging as well. Not sure how many people read my blog, but even if there is just one, I am happy that you are still here! :)

Today, we checked out a mall and found my Wintermelon Milk Tea w/Lychee Jelly!! I was so happy. At this same location, they also had a "Poke" (raw fish section). I go brave and asked the cashier if they were from Hawaii, and YES, they were!!! So awesome to meet other people and "see" familiar faces. Cause, even though I've never met them, their looks look like the people I am used to seeing in Hawaii. So, it was an awesome meeting. We promise to go back again, and get our fill of poke when needed.

Today, I am sharing this video I created of my completed cover of my Mix Media Booklet. In it I share the products I've used and talk about using SPACKLING in place of modeling paste. Everytime I see modeling paste used, I think.... "hmmmm, I wonder if I could use spackling (for dry wall repair) instead", I finally had a chance to purchase a canister, and yay! Got to try it out!! So here is my video and below it are still pics of my project. Hope you're having a blessed week!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Bridesmaids n' Matron of Honor Question Cards

Aloha Crafty Friends,

My 1st project of this year was to create these Bridesmaid n' Matron of Honor question cards. I was commissioned to create 7 for the Bridesmaid cards and 2 of the Matron of Honor cards. These cards were actually created with digital images from RG Avenue. I changed the opacity of each image to 45% so that it could have a "watercolor" look to them. Printed them out, and then added some twine n' sequence. Was pretty easy to create, and because there were a bunch, I'd rather do things easier n' print them out than having to stamp n' create each card. Yes, I'm brilliant like that (lazy, rather). But here they are... I didn't take a pic of all 7 of the Bridesmaids cards, as they all look the same. LOL!!

Hope you're having a blessed weekend. I started doing live videos on my FB Group "Little C's Creations". If you wanna join me during the lives, come join the group. I will try and figure out a way to link it to my blog. I am sure there is a way, right? In time... thanks again for stopping by!!

Aloha,
Jen

Jen's September Crafty Session - Friday

Aloha Crafty Friends!! Every month a hold a crafty session with my crafty friends. We get together and create using products from all different types of companies. It's the best fun ever. Then we go out on a little excursion, and break bread together. I host this crafty session every 3rd Friday and 3rd Saturday of the month, and it is by invitation only, or you'll need to know someone within the group to attend. I've closed it up to make it a special type of group, making it more intimate and fun for the ladies that attend. I so love these group of ladies, and the Lord has placed each of them in my life for a reason.

So, the products we created with came from RG Studio 360, RG Inspired Products, Hero Arts, Altenew, My Favorite Things... I am pretty sure that was about it. Here are pics from Friday's session. I will post more pics after my Saturday session tomorrow. :)

Table all pretty and ready to go!!! My friend, Richard Garay sent me these paper mats for my sessions, and I am just loving how they are looking.

Here is one of the card samples... digital image is from RG Studio 360; I printed them on watercolor paper, using my laser printer, and then coloring using the watercolor paints I got from Altenew.

Here are several samples I created, my ladies were free to paint with whatever color they wanted.... so wanted to share with them several color choices....

Working on a card using Altenew, and Pan Pastels....

Us at Rokaru during lunch. Yummerz!!!!

My die cutting machine (crank one), an RG Inspired Product.

My Bellaboo, she was so well behaved, and just sat on my chair, or Wini's chair... she was loving the company. Thank You for being so well behaved, Bella!!!

Then a selfie shot before we all went our separate ways.

Thank you for coming out, ladies!!! So much fun!!! Love talking stories and hanging out, eating and creating with all of you. Always a blessing. Thank You for being a blessing in my life.

Aloha,
Jen

Happy Saturday - Coffee

Aloha and Happy Saturday!! Today's theme is "Coffee", which is perfect, because I LOVE creating coffee projects, no wait, I haven't really created a lot of coffee projects, but I purchase a lot of coffee themed stamp sets. Too funny!! This challenge has kinda forced me to use what I've purchased. But what better timing, because I also subscribe to Hero Art's My Monthly Hero Kits. This past August, the kit was a coffee kit!! So I was able to create with it. I haven't made much, but since I'm working on it, I'll probably make a few more. Before I share with you what I created, wanted to share with you what came in the kit. All of this for $34.99 (and free shipping!!!). I have been a subscriber since July, but have fallen in love with some of the other past kits, and had to have them, and found them on eBay. Was pretty stoked about that, but let's get back to August's kit... here it is:

The stamp set is pretty huge, it comes on a 6" x 8" acetate sheet, and with soooo many stamps!!! Also included were all those dies... one of the dies, is a coffee shop, which I used in my projects today. Here is a closer pic of the set. The above pic is from HA, but these pics are ones I took....

A total of 12 dies!!!!

All of these stamps on 6" x 8"
Additional items that ALSO came with this kit were some designer papers, looks like pretty coffee stains... LOL, embossing powder and some glazed glue. I'm gonna have to make use of these products before I forget about them.

Ok, now that you've seen the kit, here is the project I created. I made a watercolor wash background, using tombow pen markers, and then using a brush with water to blend them together. I saw this card on the web, but the person that created it used only 1 color. I thought I'd try and change it up and use 3 colors.

So there you have it... today's theme of the day, "coffee"... gonna be playing more with this set today. Hopefully I will have another post to share with my finished projects. Thanks again for stopping by. I am praying that the list is also motivating you to create. Have a blessed weekend!!!

Aloha,
Jen

So Sweet

Aloha and welcome!! I am having fun with my daily challenges board, it is helping me create with a theme in mind. Don't need to always play along, but if you do, let me know and you will be entered in my pot of names to pull for a prize at the end of the month.

I created this card for #LCSDailyChallenges Day #14: "Pineapple" and it could also be for Day #17: "Shiny Things".

Image and sentiment is from RG Studio 360, they are digital designs. I colored the pineapple with watercolor. It looks so juicy n' sweet, reminds me of "Maui Gold" pineapples. Yummerz!!! I also added some sticklez to add some shimmer n' shine. Everything was cut on my eClips2 machine. #SoSweetSoBlessed

Thanks for hopping by!!!

Aloha,
Jen

LCS Daily Challenge Day 13 Watercolor

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends....

Yesterday's theme for my daily challenge was "Watercolor"... and so funny that my sweet dear friend, Wini told me about this video that Jennifer McGuire made, of which she used water coloring to color her images, and made it look so easy!!! I will post her video below. But I tried my hand at this, and it was super easy, super quick, and super fun... but I don't think mines turned out as pretty as hers.

Here's how mines turned out....

Here's what I used:

~Stamped Images: Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

~Sentiment: PaperTrey Ink
~Splatter Inks: FSJ
~Cardstock: SU!

I didn't use watercolor paper... I used regular Neenah White Cardstock. This was so much fun!!! Gonna have to do this technique again. Here is the video Jennifer McGuire put up. She is using Altenew's NEW Watercolor set of 36 colors... drool.... and yes, I (we) went and got it. Thank You, Ms. Wini!!!! :) Should be arriving anytime soooooon... I already received the shipping confirmation. Enjoy!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Background Fun Using Distress Oxide Inks

Happy Aloha Friday, Crafty Peeps!!!!  So I have been watching a bunch of Jennifer McGuire crafty videos lately, and I gotta tell ya, they are addicting and so much fun to watch. I get all excited at watching her videos, and want to try out the technique she shares immediately after I'm done watching. However, I sometimes fail at the technique, and when I do the same thing Jenn McG does, mines doesn't quite come out the same way!! Hahahahaha!!! Such a big laugh. But, as my friend Ali told me... "not a fail, but a happy detour"... she's too cute, and I'm blessed to have a sweet friend that encourages me. Well, I have posted the video that I was inspired by, down below, after my projects are posted... here are the water color backgrounds that I ended up with:

So with these backgrounds, I made these cards....

I didn't plan this but it is interesting how a lot of the products used on these cards are from SU!. Majority of them are... love love love how each of these cards turned out. Thank You, Jenn McG!!!
Here is her video that inspired me:
