Showering You with Love

Created this card for a momma-to-be!! I attended her shower last week... cuper cute images to play with. These images are from Hello Bluebird. The die cuts are from MFT Stamps, tho'. The white cardstock is a little wonky, cause it's cheap cardstock from WalMart... lol! 

Colored with copic sketch markers, background made with Distressed Oxide Inks... that's all folks!

Baby Shower Card and Tutorial

This is my 2nd post for today. Please be sure to scroll down and check out my 1st post, it is of what I did during the weekend. Took lots of pictures, and made a lot of memories with friends. God is GOOD!!!! 

So for this baby shower card that I created, I first wanted to add a gold sprig to the card, but needed to make it white. Thus, here is where my short tutorial comes in....

Real easy... I decided to change the color by embossing WHITE on there, and this is how I did it!!!! SO FUN!!!!

1. I used a White Pigment Ink Pad. You can use any white pigment ink. Pigment ink dries slower, and because I wanted to add embossing powder to it, I needed the ink to dry slower.

2. I rubbed the sprig into the ink pad.... back n' forth!

3. I covered the sprig with white embossing powder.

4. Then heat set the powder unto the sprig using a heating gun.

That was it!! Pretty simple, huh?? Here is how my card turned out.... 

The triple ribbon was inspired by Richard Garay. Below I have posted a video that he shared to show how he makes his double looped ribbon. I simply added one more loop to make it a triple looped ribbon. Super Easy Peasy!!! Also, as you can see the gold sprig is now white (at least the outter parts of it).  I colored the image with ZIG Watercolor pens.

Mini Baby Diaper Cakes

This weekend, I helped my niece create some cute mini diaper cakes for her friend's upcoming baby shower. I used Little Scraps of Heaven Design's "Spring Owl" and created "HOOT" on the eCal program. Here's how they turned out:

Catching Up with Project Posts

Hello bloggers.... I have been kinda busy crazy... here's to bring you up to par with what's on my completed creativity desk! 

Here is the 1st batch of cards I sent to my son, for him to use when he writes to his girlfriend. Praying that both of them will be blessed by these.

And here are a bunch of cards, 40 to be exact, and they are Baby Shower Invites that I completed a couple of weeks ago.  Just haven't had the time to post. Found this adorable image online.... from Pink Gem Designs!!  

It's been a quick and crazy week. But I'm blessed to have been able to have the opportunity to create and do what I love to do best.  Thank You, Jesus for all that YOU provide for me!!!

Diaper Cake with Clothing

Happy Aloha Friday, gang!!!  The end of the week is already here... Well, this week a friend of mines needed help to put together a diaper cake for her.  She wanted to incorporate a bunch of clothes that she purchased, and make it a part of the diaper cake.  Honestly, I didn't know how I was going to make it, but it turned out pretty good.  The layer of clothes actually looked like a layer of the cake.  I added DSP for each layer, and tied a ribbon.  It literally took me just a couple of hours.  I was stoked that I finished it in 1 night, because my girlfriend came back the next day to drop something off, and she got to leave with the diaper cake. Yay!!  Here it is... 

Don't look at it too long.... you'll start noticing the imperfections.  LOL!! Well, regardless of how I think it turned out, my girlfriend was happy, and that's all that matters!!  :)  Happy to make my friends happy!! :)  

On another note... wanted to share with you some pics of my Lotus flower in my garden... love love love how pretty it is....

Baby Shower Favors Created w/Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board

Hey there... so here are some adorable baskets I created using the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board (We R Memory Makers).  I found a tutorial on you tube, but my girlfriend Wini gave me a sample of a smaller, cuter version.  Here's how they turned out...

Here are some of the bows that I created using the Envelope Punch Board.  To create these bows, you could cut a strip of DSP at 6-3/4" x 7/8", then punch at - 3/8" and 3-3/8", flip it over, and punch at 3/8" and then punch at the opposite sides that were punch below.

Picture of all the baskets I made prior to putting the yummies into them.  I started off with a 5" x 5" cardstock, and punched and scored @ 1-1/2" on all 4 sides.  Hmmm... maybe I need to do a shot by shot tutorial for this one.  LOL! The handle is 7" x 1", and I actually cut this piece on my eClips, however if you have an edged punch, you could also create a handle that way.

Handwritten labels... the yummies that are going into the baskets are Wheat and Gluten Free Lemon Bursts from TJ Maxx.  The Honoree is on a Gluten Free diet. Thus wanted to make sure everything on the menu was gluten free.  :)

Here are the individually wrapped Lemon Bursts with the handwritten tags on them.

Here are the baskets all completely wrapped in cellophane.

And here is one, just so you can see how it looks like.  Cellophane makes everything complete.... doesn't it?

Baby Shower Butterfly Flowers

Baby Shower Centerpieces - RECYCLED!!!

Hey Gang!!!  So, if you haven't checked out the Birthday Blog Candi Blessings for today yet, scroll down, and add a comment for your chance at winning it!!!

Here's what I created yesterday!!  So happy and proud of myself!!  These jars were actually used as
center pieces for a previous function, a function for my son's Youth Spaghetti night (see pic on right).  Well, cause they didn't have room to store it, and to reuse it, it was returned to me, and sat in my garage, collecting dust for the last year!!!!  LOL!!!  Then my next door neighbor asked me a couple of weeks ago, if I could help with her grand-baby's shower... if I had any ideas, and of course keeping the cost down is always good advice, right??  So I told her we could use these!!! We used my heating gun to heat the candle and easily remove them.  Removed the tinseled outter decorating (since it was just adhered on with glue gun, it easily removed!!).  Then we had a whole new canvas to create with.

When she gave the jar to me to tie the purple ribbon around, she only had the clear rocks and the Bath n' Body Mini Anti-Bacterial bottle in there.  I suddenly had a wonderful idea, to decorate and add more to it, and here's what it turned out to be!!!  She doesn't know yet that I had decorated it like this, it will be such a sweet surprise for her to see!!!  I can't wait!!!
