Congrats to Day 1 & Day 2 winners! Well, I've never really thought about it, but I would have to say when my MOM made me a surprise 40th Birthday Party at her house. I didn't suspect a thing and was totally surprised with all my family being there to celebrate. She said she wanted to do it because I had thrown her 2 surprise parties, one at her house and one at my house.

Masquerade Masks for Friends!!!!

A couple of weeks ago, my gf Ruby had asked me if I could help her with creating a mask for her n her hubs for a masquerade party they were invited to.  Of course I jumped on it!!!  :)  I was thinking of going to Party City, purchasing some feathers, and paint and, and, and.... then I thought, why not use what I already have ON HAND!!!  Right??  So quick to jump on wanting to purchase NEW things, but yet forget about using what I already HAVE!!!  So, I started looking online for mask ideas... I found a couple of SVGs to create masks, and then I found this blog post by Okie Ladybug, where she used the butterfly from the Indie Art Cricut Cartridge to create with!!!  Oh so pretty!!  So I CASED her work, and piggy backed on her idea.  I used the same butterfly, and created my gf's mask.  Then for her hubby's mask,I search online again for a mask that would be fairly masculine.  Kinda hard to find.... I wanted it to be nice looking, and not dorky looking.  So I found one that was in between, I call it the "stealth look"!!  LOL...  I cut the butterfly mask on my Cricut Cartridge using Cricut's Design Studio and Indie Art cartridge.  I cut the stealth mask on my eClips machine, using my eCal program.  So LOVE that I can utilize both machines for different reasons, yet the same!!!  KWIM?

Decorated Glass Container

Hey there!!  It is extra chilly here in Hawaii.  Winds are pretty strong, and brrrrrr, coming through the house makes me shiver, and all day I am bundled, using a SCARF, socks and with my robe on most of the time!!  LOL.... 

Well, I have some news for you.... my purse was stolen last week Sunday!  Crazy night, New Year's Eve.  At first when I found out it was missing, I kept looking around, hoping that I would find it.  But as time went by, I slowly accepted the fact that it was stolen.  Anyways, long story short, a couple of hours later, a friend of mines called, saying that he found my purse (we were all in the same location when it was stolen).  My purse had everything inside, except for my wallet, camera and phone.  I canceled my credit and debit cards, loss a bunch of cash, my phone was cancelled, and camera with recent photos of some of my projects were 'poof'... gone.  My driver's license was also amongst the stolen.  Within the week, I was able to apply for a new driver's license, received my replaced credit and debit cards, and got an upgrade on my phone (HTC to the iPhone5).  My phone was covered by insurance, but it was perfect timing that I also was due for an upgrade!!  Praising God that only material things were stolen.  God is good....  I know that He knows that whomever stole that purse of mines needed the cash more than I did.  God said that He would be with me through all the junk times, that was one of the junkie times I thought I would've had in 2012, but because I was able to rely on the Lord, and trust that He would pull me through, everything went well.  Thank You, Jesus!!!

 
On to my project.... here is a glass container that I decorated using vinyl, and my Cricut machine.  I cut out the1st initials of my friend and her hubby's name, and put it on the glass in monogram style with their last name's initial in the middle, using the Lyrical Letters cartridge.  I then cut out images from the Damask cartridge, and applied it to all 3 sides, and on the glass cover.  The vinyl was pretty easy to handle, but tedious, all togetehr it was a very fun project to do.  My girlfriend loves the color purple, so the vinyl color was fitting!!!  I tell you what, I used to paint on these glass containers.  Vinyl letters are waaaay sooo much easier!!!  :)

Clearly Digital Stamps, Day 3: Cute Favor Bag FREEBIE Cut File Too!!

Good Day!!!  It is Day 3 of Clearly Digital Stamp's NEW Release week, here on Pieces of Me.  I wanted to share my projects throughout the week, thus, I decided to spread out the projects I created for this week's release to a day each of those projects.  I just love creating with CDS images!!  Too cute, too fun and too easy to use!!!  Thank You, CDS!!!  :))

For today's project, I have cut out a cut bag, that is actually almost the same bag that Stampin' Up! has, called "Fancy Favor Bigz XL", but I designed this cut on the Design Studio to cut on my Cricut.  I used George cartridge and Accent Essentials to cut this bag.  Therefore, if you download this cut, you will need to have these 2 carts, a jukebox, the Design Studio program to cut it out.  ;o/



I used a sentiment from the "Church Chatter" digital set of Clearly Digital Stamps.  The Frame around the sentiment is a stamp from Hero Arts. The DSP and Buttons are from Stampin' Up!  I just love how the frame fit perfectly around the sentiment.  HOWEVER, this was easily done because the sentiment was a digital element.  Had it not been, I wouldn't have been able to re-size, and re-adjust the width and make it look so perfectly made for each other!!!  :))  Thank U, Jesus!!

Freebie Friday: Cricut Mouse Candy Cane Critter

Happy Aloha Friday!!!!  I have a FREEBIE for ya Cricut owners....  Sorry, no PDF format, because I am pretty sure you can find that somewhere online.  About 2 years ago, I received this cute idea from my crafty sister, Rita, when she sent me 1 in the mail.  She gave me an idea to have it cut on my Cricut, and not have to cut with scissors!!  I made it last year, but somehow, I totally forgot to post, and share with ya'll!!!  It was too late to post it for candy cane use!!  :)  But this year... I am happy to post this early enough so that ya'll have enough time to create with it and send to all your friends and kiddies.  Add a ribbon to the candy cane, and it makes it ever so adorable!!

Stampin' Up! Playday!!! FREEBIE Cut File

Hey Gang...  it's Monday and time to bust out your Stampin' Up! items, and play along with me!!!!  First, let me tell you who won the Embossing Folder from last week's Stampin' Up! Playday challenge....

Here is my Stampin' Up! project this week....  I created these Mini Milk Carton on my Design Studio to cut on my Cricut.  However, Stampin' Up! has the same Mini Milk Carton die cut (117310), and can be cut on the Big Shot.  For those of you that have the Design Studio program, a Cricut and George Basic Cartridge, you can download the Mini Milk Carton cut file by scrolling to the bottom of this post.  I also have the a Gypsy format, so if you have the Gypsy, you could use that cut file instead.  :)

Back to my project.  I stamped the Mini Milk Cartons with the "Reason To Smile" stamp set that is currently the promotion for the month of July.  With a $50 order, you can order this set for just $5!!  That is a value of $20.95!!  NIIIIICE!!!!!  Within the Mini Milk Carton I stuffed a cute keychain from Stampin' Up!, made up of coordinating ribbons.  So cute the keychain!!!  These went to my customers that placed an order through me, during the month of June!!!  They are so stinkin' cute, I had to get me one for myself as well!!!!!

Let's Get Cuttin' - Bracket Top Box - Freebie Cut File

Hey gang... Welcome back!!  Hope your 4th was a well rested, and yet fun with family n' friends kinda holiday.  Tonight, I will be heading out to a viewing of my Uncle who passed away due to heart failure.  He was old and weak, we knew it was coming, but still, it's so very sad to lose a loved one.

Well I am trying to find way's to motivate myself, in creating and using all the stuffs I have in my craft collection.  Because there are just too much, that I just want to do them all, but just don't know where to start.  So, I need structure!!!  LOL...  therefore I am gonna have "Theme Days".  It's a challenge to myself, but I'm gonna add a Inlinkz button to the bottom of each of my challenges, and if anyone plays along with me, I'll check out their projects, and comment on them too.  If I have enough players, maybe I'll even give a prize just for playing along with me.  :)

Today's theme is titled "Let's Get Cuttin' ".  I can use anything that will die cut anything... Cricut, eClips, Spellbinder, Silhouette, Big Shot... get the picture??  Yes!!  So if you wanna play along with me, create, and link up your cuttin' creations to mines!!

Here is what I created using my Cricut Machine, together with my Design Studio program, and both the George and Accent Essential carts.  Oh and guess what??  I purchased the Big Top Notes die cut from Stampin' Up!, so I'm gonna have to try that top with this box cut and see how it turns out.  Of course you can probably cut and make your own box.  But since I already have it all on my DS, I could use that right??  Oh for those of you that have that Gypsy, I also have it as a Gypsy cut file as well!!!  U R in LUCK!!!  :) 

I made this box for a friend who owns a massage company.  She was going to put some of her homemade soaps in them.  :)  They turned out really cute, and she really liked them, except I made a few others, and she just couldn't decided right at that moment which one she wanted to go with.  So she said that she'd get back to me later about that decision.  :)

Monster With Heart - Bump In The Night DS and Gypsy Cut Files **FREEBIE**

Aloha and Welcome to my blog!! Today's project is a card that I made for the ATP Ministries Hawaii for the month of January! Gosh, it's already MARCH!!!! Well, I already gave this card to the leader, but didn't get a chance to post it til' now.

I've used the "Bump in the Night" cartridge for this card. They've got such cutie-pie monsters on that cart, I just had to get it. For those of you that has the cartridge and design studio program, I saved the cut file so that you can download and cut with all the pieces already sized for you. Here is what a preview of the cut looks like and that sizes of the cardstock and color suggestions:

On my card, I also used white gel pen and black pen to make the stitched borders. The eyes and mouth on this project is NOT the original eyes and mouth as on the cartridge. I changed it up a bit so that it could be more of a monster to my liking. So, if you like how it looks and would like to use the same cut file, keep reading!!! In order for you to cut this cut file, you must have the following items listed below. You need to have these or you will NOT be able to cut them. Sorry, I cannot provide any alternative cut files, because this is a Provo Craft item, and providing any other type of cut files would be violating their copyright laws. So here are the following items you NEED:

Saturday's Crafting Marathon

This past Saturday, I decided to have a "Crafting Marathon" on my Facebook. I created projects all day Saturday and posted them to my page. I had so much fun doing that... I was seriously thinking about just posting to my Facebook only. Right now, it is just a thought that I am bouncing around in my head. I am able to post photos as I create them, rather than just posting 1 at a time. I don't know... need to really think about this one. Anyways, I was able to create 8 projects this past Saturday. I promised to post to my blog as soon as I got a chance... so going to post them right now, before the days fly by and I forgetting about posting them. LOL!!!

This bag is a die cut bag that I created on the Design Studio. I have both the Design Studio Cut and Gypsy Cut file for those that would like to use it (click on link of your choice to download). You will need the following items for you to cut it:

• Cricut Machine and 12x12 Mat
• Design Studio Program -or- Gypsy
• George Cartridge
• Alphalicious Cartridge

For this card, I used a Karber Design digital image, and Hero Arts sentiment. Button and Ribbon are of Stampin' Up!:



This is another card that I used Karber digital image on, also Hero Arts sentiment. Ribbon, cardstock and DSP are all of Stampin' Up! I am loving this new ribbon that I purchased. It is the ruffled ribbon. Love it!!

The inage on this card is from Kenny K's Download. Sentiment is Hero Arts, so is the frame around the sentiment. The red satin ribbon is from Stampin' Up!, also a recent purchase. The charm is something I found at Wally Mart.


Another Kitty Bee Designs image... also using my new ruffled ribbon from Stampin' Up! on this one too!! DSP is Imaginesce, it is actually the other side of the DSP that I used in the 1st project I shared in this post. The embossing background is a Sizzix embossing folder, which I recently purchased from J's Knicknacks. Sentiment is from Hero Arts... I love HA sentiments, so clear and BIG!!! Just like how I like them...


Another Kitty Bee Designs image... sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and so is the ribbon and DSP. Love that the bunny is holding a shave ice, perfect for a local celebrating his or her birthday. :O)

I used a Greeting Farm image on this one. Embossing folder is a Cuttlebug folder (I could be wrong, just going off of memory. If you really want to know, comment me here, and I will double check for you!!). Sentiment and frame around sentiment is from Hero Arts. Flowers are from All Natural Accents.


Image on this one is from CC Designs. I really love the simplicity of this card. No sentiment was needed for this one. It's elegance explains itself.
So that was the end of my Saturday's Crafting Marathon. I had so much fun, and I had the opportunity to use some of my NEW stuffs - that made me very happy!!! I look forward to having MORE Crafting Marathon days...
