The other day, I was on the phone with my 2nd mom, Ms. Wini.  I was telling her about this step card that I made for my son's girlfriend, and wanted to direct her to my blog as to where she could find it.  But I couldn't find it anywhere!!  I guess I forgot to post it!!  But I know I posted this one on Facebook, but not here on my blog.  So here it is...

I actually purchased a step card SVG from Lori Whitlock's web.  It is so much easier for me to create with all the cuts n' scoring in place.  Call me n' easy peasy sleazy crafter.. haha!  The image and sentiment is from Inky Antics and I colored with Copics, n' added some green sticklez to the shell of the turtle.  This card was created for my son' girlfriend who was recovering from knee surgery.  She's such a trooper, by the time she received this card (which was about 3 days after surgery), she was already walking with no meds, no pain and no crutches.  Praise be to GOD!!!

A Warm Cozy Holiday

Hey there... here is the project I completed on Friday.  Looks pretty easy, but took me a while to create. I don't have the die cuts for this 3-Circle Flip card, but I did have an SVG cut created by Lori Whitlock. But, her cut was made for a smaller card. I had to re-size, and re-adjust the size of the DSP side panel. It felt like the entire day was spent on this project. But, Praise God, I was finally able to figure out the sizing, and then I could move on and create the rest of the card... phew!! The adorable hot chocolate images on this project is from Bento Box Ink and sold at my digital store, Little C's Digis on ETSY. The DSP is from Doodle Bug designs. Button from Stampin' Up! and SVG 3-Circle Flip Card SVG from Lori Whitlock's online store.

I have so much projects on my "to do" list, some of which should've been done yesterday!!  Had to make a list so I can keep track of what projects I need to do!!  LOL!! I'm now to work on a "Frozen" themed birthday card.  Might be heading to a birthday party tomorrow, and that is the little girl's birthday theme.  :)  Praying I will be able to find something not only FUN but easy to create!!

Send a Smile 4 Kidz Challenge - Anything Goes

Aloha Crafters!!!  Today at Doodle Pantry, we are sponsoring Send a Smile 4 Kids and their theme is "Anything Goes".  We have some awesome samples created with DP images, which you can check out on their blog.  What I came up for this challenge was a Pizza Gift Card.  The image, DSP and sentiment that I used are all from "Pizza Slice" mini digi set that was recently released this month from Doodle Pantry.  I also used my punch board to create this super easy gift card holder, and here's how it turned out:

I've created it where the pocket of the gift card holder moves up as you open the card.  On the inside a funny "cheesy" sentiment.  I also printed the DSPs at a 54% opacity so that it has a lighter look to the card, allowing the pizza image to stand out more.

Little C's Digi - Kitty Cupcake Swing Fold Card

When I found out that I could make a Swing Fold card buy using the die cuts I already have on hand, I was totally stoked!!!  So happy that I am able to utilize the tools I already have on hand, and not have to go out and purchase new ones.  I am sure that the new ones makes it much easier and faster to create, but it gives me a sense of "happy accomplishments" when I know I've created a project that is created with "newer" tools and I didn't even have to purchase them.

This card was created for Little C's Digis!!  Using the "Kitty Cupcake Treat" image and "Sweet Thoughts of You" sentiment.  Love how cute n' cheery it looks!!!

Birthday Carnival Fair SVG Box Card

Created this adorable "Fair/Carnival" box card using the "Summer Box Cards SVG kit" from SVGcuts.com.  Love their cuts. This went to my lil' nephew, Jacob-Riley.  He turned 1!!

I especially love the box cards, because they are so neat to put together, to begin with, and then they fold down and fit perfectly in an envelope.  SVGcuts.com usually provides an envelope cut that it'll fit in.  I've also added some dew drops and bling to the project.

I love that song!! I love that movie!! I love the song and I love the movie!!  Shall I say it again??? LOL... I've watched the older version (the 2nd remake), and then the newer version (the 3rd remake).  Just love all the songs sung and just the actors were amazing!!  Another thing is that I love castles!!  They are sooo beautiful.  The way the architect's master mind plans are behind it all... even the simply ones are still as breath taking.  

Here is a Castle in A Box Card. :) Was so happy to find that this SVG cut was a part of the Card in a Box set I got from SVGcuts.com.  Too cute this card turned out!!!  I love that I was able to work with one of my favorite colors... all levels of PINK!!!  It stands in a 3D fashion, and folds down to fit in an envelope.  Love love love this brilliant idea... whoever thought of it.  

Created this card for my God-Daughter.  She turned 6 years old. Time flies... too quickly!!!

Faith Hope Love Challenge #FHL1

A CHALLENGE!!  Yes, I've finally decided on having a weekly challenge.  I'd like for you to join me... and play along, if you can.  This challenge will take place weekly, on MONDAYS.  The challenge is very simple....  the challenge is to create a paper project, with a scripture on it.  Scripture from the Holy Bible.  Not a quote... but simply the WORD of God!!!  You can use any company's scripture stamp, or even make your own computer generated one.  As long as there is a scripture on your project, you may submit your project for your chance at winning!!!  :)  See, I told ya it was a simple challenge.  So here's my sample for this week's Faith Hope Love Challenge #1: 

I created an easel type card... scripture sentiment is from Doodle Pantry. The Card and Frame is also from Doodle Pantry.  I actually used the a SVG Fancy Frames Base from Doodle Pantry, and welded it together to create the card, and then cut out the entire frame again to make the top layer.  Flowers are from All Natural Accents, Leaves are from Prima.  I added the lines and dots with my white sakura pen, and on the layer with the scripture, I used my teal atyouSpica pen.  DSP is a Stampin' Up! product. 

Ok, so here are the simple rules for this challenge:

1. Create a NEW paper craft project, incorporating a scripture from the Holy Bible on it. 
2. The reference of the scripture that you use MUST be included (Eph 4:32).
3. No Back Linking to previously created projects.
4. Post your project to the web, and add your link below.  
5. Please limit your projects to 2 submittals per week.

My Scrap Chick DT Call - Baby Easel Card

Aloha and Happy Sunday, Folks!! 

Today I am sharing with you a project I created using My Scrap Chick products.  The ladies of My Scrap Chick are currently seeking some people to be on their DT, so I'm gonna try out.  Praying that I will make it, because I just love to work with My Scrap Chick products, and I already have an abundance of cuts from there anyways!!  This would allow me to use more of my MSC products, and create with my cutting machine as well.  They are always coming out with cute cuts, and darling projects too.  Love to create with my cutting machines and die cuts on my "down time" from coloring.  :)

Here is my 1st project... I am using MSC's Baby Bear, Baby Bottle and Baby Sentiment from "Animal Babies".  The card is also a cut from My Scrap Chick.  It is an easel card, which can be placed on top of a sturdy shelf or desk.  This cut is called "Frills Easel Card". 

I sponged the edges of most of the cuts, adding depth to the image.  I also used chalk to add blush to the baby bear's face.

Flip-Flop Card With Extension Using Thin Die Cuts

Greetings, Friends!!!  Earlier this week, I've posted my 1st "Flip-Flop" card, and a fellow blogging sister, Lori of Lorianna's Corner emailed me asking if I had any ideas of possibly creating the 3-panel Extended Flip-Flop card that she has been seeing other Stampin' Up! demonstrators creating.  She saw a card like this over at Sandi's blog, which Sandi's shares a video here of how she created this type of card with the Stampin' Up! thinlits die cut.  I thought it would be a fun challenge for myself. 

Thus using the same method of how the die cut part worked, I simply extended the length of my card.  I started off with a 4-1/4" x 11" cardstock. Then scored at 2-1/4", 3" and 7".  I then cut my DSP's starting with the 1st panel on the left to right: 2", 1/2", 3-3/4", 3-3/4" and another DSP at 3-3/4" for the Back of the card, which you will see in the next photo.    I also adhered my DSP's on to my cardstock prior to cutting the "Flip-Flop" part out.  Next time I create a card like this, I will try cutting the cardstock prior to adhering the DSP, just to see which is better to do.  Doing it this way was a little harder for me to crank the handle on my Big Shot.  But at least I didn't have to cut the pieces individually 3 times.

So here is my cardstock with all my DSP's in place.  I am using all Stampin' Up! products.  The Stamp set I am using shown in this photo is "Merry Little Christmas", DSP is called "Seasons of Style".

 I flipped it over, and adhered the last 3-3/4" DSP piece of the 1st left panel of my cardstock (after being flipped over).

So here is a peek at what my card looks like prior to using a die cut to add the flop flop.  You can see the back panel also has a DSP adhered to it.

I then went ahead and cut my piece using the die cut from Framelits "Chalk Talk".  My card is now complete!!  The Stamp of Santa shown in this photo is from the stamp set called "Tag It".

Now here is the card fully closed with the extended panel.  I didn't really add anything to the front, as I wanted to keep this simple, and complete this card quickly to share!  :)

And here it is when it opens up.  The presents image is from the stamp set called, "Wishing You".  I colored both of these images with my Stampin' Up! marker - directly on the stamp itself.

My 1st Flip-Flop Card Created With Metal Die Cuts

Aloha and Happy Monday, Crafty Peeps!!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, just as I did!! My oldest son CY4 is on the volleyball team at his school, so that is what we mostly did this weekend. Game on Friday, then game on Saturday. It was so much fun rooting on the team and yelling out "GO!" "GET IT!" "SAVE!!" "HELP!!!" "CALL IT OUT!!!" LOL!! Brings back memories of my Summer Fun days when I did play volleyball as a young kid. Gone are those days forever. I can yell it from where I'm sitting, but if I were in their position, I'd probably play horrible. But what a fun time we all had.

Well, today I have a "Flip-Flop" card to share with you.  I don't have any "flip flop" dies, but I do have die cuts that I know can be used to create flip flop cards.   So I went on a search through Google.  And the link to a video came up, and I just chose the one that I found easy to follow, which was created by Cristy Butzen of www.tinkerwithink.com.  Here is the link to her video.  And here is my card that I created watching her tutorial.

As you know, I am currently in the Christmas card creating mood.  Just gonna continue to make some Christmas cards here and there.  When surgery day comes, I really don't know what my status will be like.  If I am limited to coloring or if I am off limits to any creativity.  So wanna get as much cards done, even though I'm not one who normally creates Christmas cards to give out.  :) 

The set I used for this card is the "Pennant Parade" set, which goes well with the Pennant Punch.  One of the images could look great as a Christmas tree, when is it placed upside-down.  So that is exactly what I did.  The die cut set that I used is called "Framelits: Labels Collection".  The card mostly consists of a lot of cutting of this die cut.  The cardstocks that I used were Real Red, Certainly Celery and Whisper White.  The DSP is from the current Holiday Catalog, and is called "Season of Style". 

The thing that I love about this type of card is that it is an action card.  Something that is in motion!!  I love that kinda card.  Makes it so fun to look at, and it's receiver (if not a crafter) is always AMAZED at how "crafty" one can be when they see that it is handmade.  "What???  U made this???... NOT, NO CAN!!!"  Lol!!!  Love the reaction I get outtah my non-crafty family/friends, don't you??  I do however want to make sure that they don't throw it away. So I'll say something like, "No trash now, took me long fo' make" (This is how the locals here talk - which is called "pidgin").  Maybe because it sounds so strange, it can't be made out... so they just called it "pidgin talk".  LOL!!!  Funny!!!! 

Well, here is the photo of the card on the flip side.  Oh!  I forgot that I added a button to the bottom of that layer.  It goes so very well there, doesn't it?? 

Well, I am having a lot of fun creating and posting again.  Hoping that it can be part of my day like back in the day!!!
