Birthday Rolodex: Jan-Mar

Howdy Friends!!!  

Happy 2nd Day of 2022!! I've been working on a Birthday Rolodex Calendar. I had this in process for many months now, and I finally convinced myself that I really should finish it and use it this time. LOL!! I hope I finish it before the 1st birthday that is on my calendar. I'll be posting them 3 months at a time, so here are January to March. 

Most of the die cuts on here are from Queen n' Company. The month's is an SVG file from Miss Kate Kuttables, which I cut 3 times each on my Sky Cutting Machine (electric die cutter, similar to the Cricut), and adhered them together to make them thicker n' pop out on the file. Clip Art Dies are from Doodle Bug Designs, and DSP are from my collection... I know some of them are also from Q&Co. A lot of piecing together, and use of glue. Which I found relaxing and fun to do.

Happy 2022!!

Well, here we are, a year later. Last time I've posted to this blog was back in January 2021!! I hardly kept up with my blog, but I did continue to post to my FB, FB Groups and IG. I guess posting to all these social medias got me spinning. I wanted to devote more time in posting here, because I feel I can share more of my words rather than just sharing about what project I've created. 

Today's 1st post is the fried rice I made for our New Year's Day "Tradition". Usually for New Year's Eve, I make a pot of Portuguese Bean Soup a.k.a Pocho Bean Soup, and that'll last us couple days. I did make the Pocho Bean Soup and now I've added a new tradition of making Fried Rice for the morning's start. It was so delicious. I've fried up bacon first, added white onions, then Portuguese Sausage... fried those us til' they have a crisp around their edges, and til' the bacon fat were all cooked off. Then added friend the eggs, scrambled them all in there, then finally add in the rice. Rice will absorb all that bacon fat, and you can cook that rice til' it's a little crispy. Then added oyster sauce, shoyu and it's done, ready to serve. After you add to your plate or bowl, sprinkle some furikake on there, and eat away!!! 

It was a marvelous start to a new year. From our family to your's, I am praying a healthy and blessed year for you in 2022.

Prayers for Gina Wrona

Created this "Prayers for Healing & Comfort" shaker card for my crafty sistah, Gina Wrona. Please join me in prayer as she goes in for open heart surgery on Wednesday, 11/11. If you would like to send her a card, please message me for her address. I know she would be soooo very blessed to receive a hand made card from you, filled with plenty of prayers, love n' encouragement. Thanking the Lord for this wonderful lady who has been a crafty friend for many years now. Lord, hear our prayers. Be with her during surgery. Praying for the hands of the doctors that will be delicately working on her. Praying for the nurses and staff to take good care of her. Praying for healing and comfort, and for plenty of rest as she takes the time to heal after her surgery. Thank You, Lord for her life. Please carry her through it all. In Jesus Name, AMEN!!!!
