Himawari Babies Creations

Hey All... today, I have some Himawari Babies creations to share with you. With Halloween right around the corner, I know that a lot of you are celebrating by giving out little goodie bags to your friends, family, co-workers, and I hope to share some ideas that you might want to make using Himawair Babies images.

My 1st project here is a simple bag that I cut with my X using a bag cut from "Tags, Bags, Boxes n' More" cartridge. I hand cut the image of Frankie, and simply adhered him to my nestie cut outs with foam tape. Real simple n' easy to do. The treat that went into this lil' bag is a .58 oz container of Wrigley's Doublemint Mintcreme. Kinda small in size, but huge in taste - that actual size of this is 1-1/2" in width, 2-1/4" in height, and 5/8" thick.

Here are more pics of different angles.... as you can see, I had to take a sample of what this mint tasted like.

This 2nd project, I actually recycled the acetate box that I used. It actually came from an American Craft box full of 6 ribbons. I figured I could recycle by creating a top n' bottom cover, and then adding a Himawari Babies image - this one I believe is called "Lil' Eddie", he was inspired by that dude from Twilight. I used my Copics to make his face a little more grayer than what it originally was, and I recolored his vest, as well as added some hair lines to make it more defined, and added a "mint" of color in his eyes - I did this to also share with you how you can manipulate and change the coloring of the original image.... I also added some red stitched grosgrain ribbon around the top cover of the box.

This last project here is a project that I also made on my Cricut, and named this cute favor bag thingy which was inspired by my gf Claudette - I even named it after her, it's call "The Claudie Bag" and you can find the cut file here for downloading (on my Cricut Blog). I have 2 cuts, one for those that have the smaller cricut, and another that also has the X, so check out the blog, and be sure to download the one you can use. I used this Himawari Babies image, because it went perfect with the colors on the DSP that I used....

Hope you've enjoyed today's projects.... here is a picture to share with you today.... it is a picture of one of the lagoon's out at Ko'olina, I think we took this pic sometime at the ending of August. It was a nice quiet and beautiful day....

May you have a beautiful day as well...

Notepad Cover w/Himawari Babies

Ok, Happy Aloha Friday.... please be sure to check out the 2 previous posts I put up, they may be helpful and informative to you.

Here I have a Memo Pad cover to share with you, which I decorated with Himawari Babies. I've added a few buttons for some pazzazz!!! Embellishments ROCK, don't they!?? They just add to your already pretty creation, and make it a ROCKin' creation. I love embellishments. Funny tho' - I remember there was a time when I never used embellishment. Even layers of cards! HAH!! Back when I started, I only stamped directly on white card stock - and back then, it was about making a scenary... it was fun creating that way, but how it's evolved into - just unbelieveable!!!

Anyways, here are the details: Himawari Babies image, Buttons, Martha Stewart DSP, Ribbon is a thin 1/4" organdy, Coral cardstock is Bazzill Basics.

Yesterday, I attend CY4's school orientation. Man, I was outtah breath just walking around that school. We were to follow the class schedule in the order of what he would actually be doing for a regular day. 7 classes, with 5 minutes to get from class to class... NUTZ!!!! All the walking and panting I was doing - NOT GOOD!!! Well, soon, the kids are going to be back in school, hopefully I will have some time to take a brisk walk in the morning to get my blood pumping and exercising again.

Ok, well, I hope you're having an awesome Aloha Friday. Time to get my day started!!!

Birthday Gift Card Holders - Himawari Babies

Hey all!! I had an order of gift cards, and I thought I'd make some extras to sell on Little C's. All images are of Himawari Babies. I used a Starbuck's GC holder, created the cut file on my Design Studio program, and cut with my Cricut Expression. This GC holder could also be used for money - if you fold up the bill. Sentiment is SU!, DSPs are DCWV, and stickles for a few glitz!

Inside of GC Holder....

Thanks So Much - Mason The Conductor Himawari Babies Cut

Hey there!!! How's it going for you on this Aloha Friday!??! This is my 2nd posting for today, I worked on this card last night, and thought I'd post it for ya!! As I've mentioned in my previous post, I've got a Cricut class today - so looking forward to seeing the ladies, and sharing some info on the Circut machine.

Anyways, the image I am using here is a Himawari Babies image, and this image is called "Mason the Conductor". This is a 2" cut, so you would either cut these out by hand, or using a paper cuter. If you'd like to use a punch, then you best be going with the character punches. Those are spaced out enough to get your punch in between them, without cutting into the next image. However, the character punches don't have as much images as the 2" cuts. So, it's up to you which ever ones you wanna go with. They are still the same size, but not the same quantity. To get a better idea on what I'm talking about - just check out the links I've posted, and you'll see what I mean.

Also, did you know that Himawari Babies has a gallery?! She has been receiving a number of customer creations, that she posts to the gallery - and they are all super cute!!! So stop by the gallery and check it out, it'll give you more ideas on how to use these images. If you are so blessed to be able to create with these images, you too can submit your work. Cris loves seeing how her images are being used.

Info on my card, I used DCWV DSP, the sentiment is an old stamp that I had, but I think it's either Rubber Stampede or Stampendous. Used stickles to add some glitz, and buttons. Embossed backgrounds are both from Sizzix. Lt blue cardstock is SU!, and the beige cardstock is Bazzill.

Anyways, gotta get ready for my class soon. I gotta tidy up around here a bit... LOL.... always last minute. Be sure to scroll down and check out my previous post if you didn't yet.... otherwise, have an awesome day today - it's raining n' a little muggy in Hawaii nei... thanks for stopping by again...

Aloha,
Jen

HB with a Himawari Babies

Good Morning Sunshine!!! I have been slacking in creating projects with Himawari Babies cut outs. Thought I better get some in the mix of my creations out, so you can see how I'm using them. Here I've created a lil' boy's birthday card. Simple, but yet with a little hint of glam... I hope the bling isn't going to throw the card off, and make it more fem than it's meant to be. =0) The lil' "HB" stamp I think is from SU! - sorry, not sure.... but I wanted it to look like a sticker, so I added crystal glase to it, let it dry and then adhered it to the bottom. I had to use a sentiment that was small, as I didn't want the image to be overwhelmed by another. The embossing folder I used is a CB folder called "Spots n' Dots" - it's one of my favs. The image that I used on this card is called "Dylan". He's a cutie, ain't he?! He sure reminds me of MY lil' man.....

Anyways, I'm usually doing my crafting late at night, now a days. It's quiet, and very relaxing. I craft in my dining room, since I've brought a lot of my crafting things into the dining room. At first, my DH told me that he didn't want me working out here, because when we'd have guests over, then they'd see all the madness going on in the dining room. But after 2 weeks, he changed his mind, and told me "if it's convenient for you to craft in the dining room, then it's alright with me that your things are out there".... what a sweetie!!! Love ya, babe!!! So, here I am, crafting, blogging in my dining room. LOL.... at night - it's just me, my craft thingies and the sound of my aquarium (which is hidden behind one of my craft tables - and yes, I do feed him!!!).... Where is this all going? To tell you the truth.... NO WHERE!!!

I hope you're having a wonderful week, can you believe that it's already Wednesday?!?! Time surely flies when you're having fun....

Blessings,
Jen

Jen's Bday RAK Card Creators....

Dear Sistahs,

Good Morning!! It is Wednesday!!! The "hump day" of the week.... am totally excited today, especially because my real life Sistah Nasha, is flying in this afternoon from California. Looking forward in spending the next couple of weeks with her. Thanks for all your funny comments yesterday. NO my crazy schedule isn't like that all the time. But most of the time - I try to do a lot of things if I'm on the road, so when I come back home, I don't have to go out all over again. But that never happens. I had to hit the road later in the afternoon yesterday, because the secretary at the Christian school called, saying she mailed the acceptance letter to the wrong addy. LOL!!! So I told her that I would just swing by and pick them up.

After coming home from picking up those papers, I had to get started on dinner. Although it was only 2 pm, I was cooking Kalbi (Beef Spareribs) for dinner. So I had to marinate them. All I did was pour this Suzie's Gourmet Sauce called "Teri-Miso" into a large ziploc bag, and then threw in the Kalbi to get all mixed up in there. Between 2-5pm, I let it soak and marinate in the sauce. In the mean time, I finished up the laundry (I was able to do 3 loads, sistahs!!!), and then I ironed 3 of my DH's Aloha Shirts. I know, how come I'm still ironing you all ask... well, although I hang his shirts right after they get out of the dryer after being in there for 3-10 mins, some parts of the shirts aren't straightened out. Like the bottom parts of the shirt, the sleeves. However, I did notice that because they are semi un-wrinkled, I didn't have to push down on the iron and apply pressure while ironing so much.

By the time DH and CY4 came home, it was time to grind. I also fried fish. The Filipina in me gotta have that fish at least once a week, wether it is raw, fried or in a soup. Cy loves my fish dishes too!!! Anyways, I was up til' 10:30 pm last night, and everyone else was asleep before me. I bet that is the case with most mom's, huh?!

This morning... it starts all over again!!! LOL....

This past weekend, I started a group within the Glama Gurlz group. It is a group to help me create cards for my Birthday RAK Club. They are "Jen's Birthday RAK Card Creators". This way, I will be able to send out at least 1 birthday card to all those that signed up for the Bday RAK Club. =0) It was a birthday card JAM!!! We eneded up with 30+ cards, but most of them were of cards that Ali brought with her to donate. Please stop on by the Glama Gurlz blog, I will be posting 5 of them at a time... (Card shown here was created by Ali, which you will see on the Glama Gurlz blog along with 4 others).

Have an awesome day in Jesus, all... and for you sistahs in Hawaii, stay indoors and away from the vog (esp u, Linda!!) *wink*

Hugs,
Jen

Birthday Goodies for Michelle

Hows it going, people!??! My friend Michelle, of Mushi's Creative Inspirations celebrated her birthday last month. Here is what I sent her....

A Pillow box cut using my cricut, this box was from the Wedding solutions cartridge. Other cartridges I used were Hello Kitty Font, and Pooh & Friends. I filled this box with some stamping goodies.

Here is a clear tube that I filled with some beads, then decorated with some flower blings, oh - and used a Himawari Baby image too!! The image I used is "Honey Bug" - I added some stickles for glitz, added a little more color to her hair with my Copics, and a flower bling for her hair.

By the way... For those of you that don't own a Cricut, but would love to have some cuts of your own, please check out my Cricut blog: Cricut Cuts By Jen for details on how to order them from me!! Cuts come fully assembled, and shipping is FREE!!! This would be a great way for those that also own a Cricut, but don't have a certain cartridge they are looking for, and might only want 1 or 2 cuts from that particular cartridge. Check out the sidebar for more info on other products and services I have available. =0)

Hope you're having a blessed Thursday!! I'm working on my projects for this week's classes!! I have 2 classes this weekend, a Cricut class on Saturday, at Photo Craft - a Local Craft Store here in Hawaii (email me at littlecs7@gmail.com for more info), and my Glama Gurlz are getting together at my house on Sunday. WooooOooo HoooOoooo... can't wait to see my Glamaz, I miss them all soooo very much!!! We're going to have a great time!!!!

The week's almost over!!! Yeee Haaaawwww....

Himawari Babies: A Card for My Niece

First of all, thank you for all that have commented and left me encouraging messages of my new found faith. God Is Good!!!! =0)

As you've also previously read, I attended my niece's 1st birthday party this past weekend. I had a card already made, so I didn't have to rush (this once). LOL.... But check it out, I used another Himawari Babies image. It made it a lot easier to finish this card, but lookie - there were some stamping that I did!!! But my mojo isn't really back yet.... it'll come back in time, just got some projects to work on, being that I have a Cricut class this coming Saturday, and a Glama Gurl gathering on Sunday. So I need to get into the groove, and snap out of it, right?!?!

Well, here's what my card was made with.... HB: Kuma The Dog, Cardstock: SU!, DS Paper: Martha Stewart, Crystal Glaze, Cake image: Hero Arts, HB Tag image: SU!, SU! punch, Jewels: Hero Arts, Ink: SU!

Ohh!!! I've added 2 batch of photos to my Hawaii Photos blog. Here is one of the photos... stop on by and check it out....

Have a wonderful Tuesday evening....

Aloha,
Jen
