Aloha Crafty Friends!!!

I have been so busy creating Valentine's Day Cards, and still haven't created all the ones that I want to create. Happy Birthday to ME!

Yesterday was my birthday!!! Happy Birthday to me!!  Although I didn't make myself a card, this card is part of the card order I'm working on.... birthday card for a young girl.  Colored with Copic Markers. Stamp is a Penny Black stamp.  I purchased this a while back... finally got to ink it up and make something with it.  Love making girly cards, get to make them all cute n' pink.  :)

The sentiment is a Stampin' Up! stamp.  Thanks for stopping by n' visiting!!!

I am entering my card to the following challenges:

Penny Black Birthday Card

Hello Friends!!  Thanks for stopping by today!!  It has been a little raining here, and I am loving it.  Gonna have my Stampin' Up! Catalog Reveal this Thursday and Saturday.  So, if you are interested in attending, please let me know... and I will get the details to you. :)

Here is a card that I can finally post, because I finally gave it to the birthday girl that I made it for.  It was made for my sweet crafty sister, Barb.  Her birthday was back in March, but we haven't seen each other since.  I saw this adorable stamp set at Cute Stuff, and had to get it, and had to get another one for her too, because I just knew that she would LOVE it!!  This adorable image is from Penny Black, it came in a set of maybe 16 clear stamps.  SO Cute!!!

Today, I have an appointment to go in and do a biopsy on my right breast.  I humbly ask that you pray for me, and keep my family in prayer as well. Pray for the hands of the physicians, that they are guided by the Lord.  And also, please pray for no pain on my body after the procedure, so that I can continue with my daily routine. I know that God is LARGE and IN CHARGE, and that HE has it all under control.  I also know that He wants to hear our cries, requests and pleas, and that we leave all our burden at His throne.  Thank You for joining me in prayer!!!

Love you, my friends!!!  <3 br="" nbsp="">

Blessings ~

Happy Aloha Friday!!!

Happy Aloha Friday, Sistahs!!!

I have a busy wizzie day today.... already I stopped over at my mom's on my way home from dropping CY4 off to school. Woke my sister up, and had breakfast there with my parents. SOOO Funny, as my parents weren't quite up yet, and when we stood there at their doorsteps, ringing the doorbell, they somehow thought that Pizza was being delivered?!?! WHAT!??! Yep - 7 am, Pizza Delivery? LOL... told my pops, "they don't open til' 11 am, remember that - don't be fooled if someone comes here saying it's the Pizza guy".... LOL... that was my lil' laugh for this morning.

Well, here's what I got to share with you this morning. It's another birthday card that I created this pass weekend with my Birthday RAK Card Creators. Check out more cards created by the Glama Gurlz on our blog. The stamp is a Penny Black stamp. You can't tell, but I cut out some pieces to pop them. Like the flowers, his paws, and the lady bug... actually, you can see it's shadow, huh??!

Tonight, I have a "Crafting Fun Night" session going on at my house. I have 5 super duper fun ladies coming tonight!!! Can't wait... what are we doing? Nothing really... just talking stories, and creating at the same time. Oh, we're also going to have some pizza... I opened it up to everyone that crafts, and not just the Glama Gurlz... so we're going to have quite a nice mix tonight. Should be FUN!!!!

Anyways, I gotta run, clean house, and run some errands today - gotta get a white dress shirt for CY4's band performance tomorrow. I thought I got the right shirt, but it wasn't... boo hoo... I also want to check out Long's Drugs... they got a great sale going on - on Paper Plates especially!! Woooo Hoooo...

Ok, have an awesome Aloha Friday!!!

God Bless...

Sick With The Flu.....

Hello All...

Since last Thursday, I along with my hubby have been sick with the flu. The flu quickly turned into a cold, and a miserable one at that. CY3 came home early from work 2 days in a row, which was good, because I know he needed some well deserved rest. I've lost my sense of taste and smell, and it is driving me crazy that I can't taste the delicious flavors of my chicken squash soup. Salt is the only thing I can really taste, or I should say feel, because it makes my lips feel poofy. Well, this past weekend, it was the last day of football for CY4, and I made a card for each of the 2 coaches. The coaches are males, but guess what?! I made them cute cards... LOL! Well, that's one of the advantages of being ill - you get to make these "delirious" decisions....

The image is actually a Penny Black stamp of a doggy holding a pumpkin (see above photo), a Halloween type stamp, but I just wanted the dog, and found a football stamp, and placed the football in place of the pumpkin. Turned out really cute, huh?!?!

I colored with water color pencils, I printed the sentiment on my computer, using this super cute font called Baby Kruffy, which can be downloaded here.

Well, I'm off to pick a winner of my Sweet Candi Pieces and match up the RAKR's for the month of June.... Tah-Tah!!!

Have a great Monday!!

Birthday Card for Wini

Hey there... it's Saturday afternoon, and in about an hour - I'm going to be in town, hanging with friends, and having a great time. It's been about 4 months since I've seen these bunch of people, or maybe more. We were supposed to have a get together every month, but days fly so quickly, and everyone's schedules are always booked. I'm just glad that we are able to get together tonight, and hang out. I will share some pictures later.

Earlier today, we took the kids out to the movies, to watch "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian". The last time we took Cy with us to the movies was when he was 6 months old. Yea, so it was kinda new for him. In the beginning of the movie, all went well, but Cy complained about how LOUD it was. LOL!!! About 30 minutes into the movie, he was having a great time, munching on Popcorn and Kakimochi (combined). About 45 minutes into the movie... he was ready to go home. He told me that he wanted to go home, and that he was bored. I told him "they locked us in here, and won't let us out until the movie ends"... and you know what?! It worked!!!! LOL!!! I don't think we're going to the movies again for a while, although it was a great 1st experience, but now we know - he don't like it. Before heading to the movies, we passed the Kapiolani Coffee House at Waimalu. I LOVE this place, particularly for their Ox Tail Soups. ONOLICIOUS!!!! I know some of you locals that are home away from home know what I mean, and is probably making your mouths water, I know mines is... LOL!! So, for today's Hawaii photos, I posted the 1st photo of KCH's sign... ahhhh.... memories, huh!?!?! The 2nd photo is just to show you how our mountains have returned to the island. Thank you Mama Nature - I knew I could count on you!!! Last week, we could only see up to the trees, there after, there was a wall of vog. Thank goodness it is gone.... for how long?! I don't know....

Ok - now for a creation that I made for Wini. Wini's birthday was last week, same day as my sister Nasha's. I made this card for her, which I CASED from Camille (the one I posted this morning). I made the card a little bigger, to fit in a standard card size.

Paper is Basic Grey & 3 Bugs - aren't they pretty?!?!?! The ribbon is from SU!, that one is so pretty too!!! The stamped image is clear acrylic stamp from Penny Black. I'm trying to use my new stamps that I threw all in a basket... it's taking me awhile. But I'm enjoying it. The scallop circle is a Spellbinder Nestie cut.

So when I open the flap of the card, a message is revealed, and it slides back in when I close the flap back down. Too cute!!! Thanks Cami for this idea. I know she said she CASED it from someone else, but still, I CASED it from her. The sentiment is from SU!, Penny Black and TAC. See, putting them in folders are paying off for me, right?! I get to see them all in 1 folder, and just mix and match if needed. The scallop on the flap was made using my corner rounder punch, without the guides. I colored the image with my Copics. I am not to happy about the cat being brown where I've colored, I think I should've used a lighter grey for that part. But it's ok, it's still a cute kitty.

Tomorrow, I will share with you the project I created from Ms. Wini. So come on back, and check out what it is.

For now, I need to stop and get ready for my fun time tonight. Don't usually go out and have fun without stamping - but a girl has got to break loose once in a while. YAY!!! I'm totally excited...

Tomorrow's a holiday, so I am sure the cops are going to be out - as well as the drunk drivers, so I will be sure to be on my best behavior and avoid all the fricken crazy drunk driver's out there. Hope you are having a great time with your family n' friends as well, wherever you are!!!

Big Hugs,

Some Cards for VDay

I'm back with another posting, ladies!!! It's hump day, another busy day for me - but before I get out of the house, I wanted to post these 2 cards that I've made for VDay. It's right around the corner, can you believe it?! I have to get a bunch of cards out to my sister's store, and I hope I can do it at least by this Friday. I've also been working on my TAC Open House which is scheduled for Saturday. I had it in the a.m. from 10 - 2 p.m., but had to change it to 1-4 p.m. instead. Cause Chazz' 1st football game is happening the same time same day. My oh my, being a "team mom" is such hard work!!! Well, fitting it into my schedule is. I have to think of ways to bring a long a bunch of my stuffs so I can color while I watch him. But it's hard when Sir Cyrus is also there running around. Well, hopefully they will have a game when Charlie doesn't have to work - then I can definitely bring my stuffs, and "play" while he's playing, huh?!

Ok, so here are my cards that I want to share with you today. I am using everything the same on both cards - and the layout is basically turned 90 degrees. I enjoyed playing with my corner punch, creating the scallop look. It's pretty cool. Stamp is of Penny Black, sentiments are chip toppers from Bazzill Basics, Cardstock is SU!, and DS Paper is 3 Bugs - so cute!!! Oh yea, I colored them with my prisma color pencils. Then added a little shading with my Copics.

Here's a photo of Sir Cyrus - he decorated one of the chipboard tags I cut out for him. He's so cute! I'm glad he's getting a kick out of playing with my stuffs. I'm not good at sharing these goodies with my kids. hahahaha - but look at those cheeks. Who wouldn't hand over goods to this lil' fella that will smile for you like that, huh?

Ohhhhh... I hope to have some time to Digi Scrap later on today. It was sooo much fun yesterday. Have a great day, dahlings....

More Cards For Kelly's Dear Friend.....

Happy Aloha Friday Ladies....

Remember a few days ago, I posted about giving to a family of 7 kids that have lost their mommy to cancer?! It was a posting from Teri, that she shared here. I was only able to complete 3 earlier this week - and now I have completed the remaining 4. SO I share them with you today....

This 1st card here is made for one of the boys in the family. I wanted to make it more male oriented, cause didn't want him to feel funky receiving some kinda flowery card. The stamp is from TAC - such a cute lil' pug. But he retired. hahaha - I'm such a dork to keep sharing retired stuffs huh?! Well - you know, I just got into TAC, so I'm trying to enjoy the stamps that I've already purchased. But don't worry - I'll be creating with new stuffs real soon. My Open House is right around the corner - but I wanted to finish this project first.

Ok - anyways.... the next card here is, for another boy in the family. I need help with color!!!! I used my prisma colored pencils and blended with Gamsol - and then, get this - I shadowed with my Copics. I'm still trying to "see" the "shadowings" before I color - it's fricken hard. I should ask Charlie to help me, cause he is so good in art. But by the time he gets home from work - I don't want to bug him about my "play things", also I'm usually doing dinner n' stuffs by then. This stamp is from "Stamp It" - so cute... I love using these animals stamps, they really show how cute n' loveable they can all be.

Here's my lil' teacup mouse. I'm not too happy about the shading on my cup - but I totally love the shadow I've done of the teacup n' mouse. Still trying.... The sentiment is of Hero Arts. I love it - it's so sophisticated (that sentiment stamp).... it stands out, but yet, is so petite and clever!!! The stamp image is from Whipper Snapper - I love WS stamps. Did I tell you that already?! I love how their images are so huge, and that they are so fun to color!!!! For coloring - I used my Copics.

My last card... the image is from Penny Black. I like PB stamps too - especially when they are cute like this one. The sentiment is of The Angel Company, and even though they are not "bears" per-say - they are totally giving "bear" hugs. Too cute. For coloring - I used my prisma color pencils, and then shadowed with my Copics. I am finding that it is FUN to color them with both mediums....

Well, I truly hope that this family will find a little comfort in these cards that I'm going to be sending. It's just tooo sad for me to think about these children losing their mama at such a young age. No fair!!!! I pray that they all remain strong and carry on their mama's way of life which is to live strong, and to live life to it's fullest. Rest In Peace, Dottie!!!

OK ladies... may you all have an awesome weekend!!! I'm heading over to my "mama" Wini's house to hang out on this wonderful Aloha Friday.

Have a great day!!!!

Hugs,
Jen
