Hi Gang,
Last Friday, I shared the cut file of this cute Bunny Basket with those of you that own a Cricut and Design Studio (Doodlecharms and George cart as well). Thought I'd post a little tutorial on how to put the basket together.
When you open the cut, the basket is on 2 separate layers (sheets). I will work on getting them on 1 page soon. In the mean time, you need to cut, flip the cartstock over and then cut again. Regardless of how you cut them, just cut them out and you will have these 2 pieces:
Ok, now score on the score marks that I've provided:
Flip over the longer piece, and apply double stick tape like I have done so here:
Now you will place the longer piece into the shorter piece forming a cross look:
Now fold up all four sides, adhering the panels within and unto the insides of the cardstock that is crossing over, forming now your basket...
From here, you will cut the bunny head, paws and bum out, and just adhere to the front and back of the basket, and then cut the handle out and add the handle by using ribbon to hold them together. The handle was cut using Martha Stewart All Occasion, but if you don't have that cart, you can always cut out the handle and use a decorative punch of your own to create another look. I inked the edges to define the look of the bunny.
I used a piece of cotton for her tail...
And here it is again, completed!!
Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Crafting!!
Hugs, Jen
That bunny is adorable. Also, love your nail and how it matches the basket. Thank you for inspiring :)
