My Blog is Up To Date....

Yay!!!  Now that my blog is up to date... I'm feeling good about that.  Today, I cooked breakfast for my lil' one... cleaned out the fridge, and gave my hubs a grocery list to handle.  Been making some vegetable soup before I had my surgery, and have been missing the taste of that.  So gonna be making me some later today.  :)  I have been wanting to SCRAPBOOK with cardstock as of lately... so God willing, I am praying that I will have the strength to do so soon.  I also look forward to cleaning this house... The hubby has been doing a great job taking care of me and the kids by feeding and taking them to school doing some house chores, but I think it is time for me to get back on the band wagon, and doing a little at a time.  I tried to cut cardstock the other day, and my arms just weren't strong enough.  But little by little, I know I will be able to get there.  Typing isn't hard, but after awhile, my pecks get tight!  UGH!!!  It's something that I'm getting used to though... so Praise God for that!!  Thanks for reading my posts and keeping up with me.  I look forward to being able to create something real soon...

In God's Timing... of course!!!

1st Creative Spark After Surgery - A Digital Scrapbook Page and an Update!

Because I have limited use of my arms, and can't really do anything (because they are kinda jello at this time), the easiest craft activity I can do is creating a digital scrapbook page!  This is the extent of my creativity... thought I would be able to get a bunch of pages done, but I was wrong... my chest muscles started getting tight, and I had to rest... but here is what I was able to create while I was at it.  :)

Update on my progress....  October 29th, 2013:

Went to the dr's today... He wants to keep the last two drains in for just a little longer. God willing, they'll be out by the end of this week. But I am in rush, if it means staying in longer to drain more liquid, so be it. Good news, he filled my expanders today with saline!! 100ccs!! Slowly but surely he will get me there to my normal breast size. No pain when he filled. Still numbness there. But I heard pain comes later, let's see how I feel tomorrow. If anything, chest feels hard and tight. But that is normal, as the expanders are to help stretch skin and muscles to make room for the permanent fills. Thanking The Lord for this path, because I know of so many others whose path was a far more severe and hard one to go through. Only by HIS might and HIS power that I can continue to persevere through all this. Thank U, JESUS!!!!

Update, JP Drains and Son's VB Game

Photo: So here is an update.... I currently have four of these drains coming from my body (two for each breast removed). I cannot raise my arms above my head, or stretch them out. I was instructed to have "T-Rex" or "Penguin" arms. These are to drain out the liquid build up, that needs to be excreted from my body. Drains usually stay in about 3 weeks. If I am good about not moving around, they could come out sooner. My days consists mostly of staying in bed, sleeping, and walking around just to get some circulation moving. Basically, healing and being STILL, knowing that The Lord is in charge and healing me with His peace and comfort. I do not have any pain at the surgery site. Infact, there isn't much feeling there, since nerve tissues have been cut and burned, it's pretty numb. Sounds painful, but really it's not. The painful part of it all is where the tubes are coming out from my body, but only on one side!! I have a doctors appointment today, God willing, some drains will be removed!! Despite all of this, I am alive and living the journey that The Lord intended for me to be on. I continue to look up and see the light that Jesus shines upon me!!! Look Up!! He's shining HIS light upon U too!!! His Blessings are there for U to take!!!! God is already Blessing YOU!!!!

Update @ 3pm:

Had a doctors appointment today. He checked on my drains, and Praise the Lord, he decided to remove 2 outtah 4 drains!!! He was amazed to see that I was doing incredibly well. Thank You, Jesus!! Please note... drains usually take 3 weeks before removing!!! After removing 2 drains, I nearly fainted!! I worked myself up to having some kinda pain during the removal, but truth be told, I didn't feel anything, but rather was grossed out by the sucking sound the drains made as they were pulled out, and the sudden rush of adrenaline nearly caused me to collapse!!! My loving husband fanned me down, held me up and helped me catch my breath. He had me lay down for a good ten minutes before we got going. The Lord has truly given me a blessing in this man I've married. Thank you, Lord!!!! Thank u all for your continued prayers!! God is sooo amazing, isn't HE???

Later that evening, my son had a VB game to play.  It was year end tournament for him n' his team.  Sadly, I wasn't able to attend.  But of course, daddy was able to go and get some pics.  They won the 1st round of the tournament, and ended up in 2nd place.  Praising the Lord that my son was able to play, because earlier in the week (just that Monday), he had sprained his ankle!!  By the Lord's MIGHTY healing powers, I prayed and asked HIM to heal my child's ankle... and the Lord PULLED through!!  He is sooo faithful!!  Just ask in HIS name, and it is done!!!  Thank U, Jesus!!!!

1st Day To Sit By My Pond... Since Surgery

Today is the first day I sneaked out to sit at my pond for awhile...  Thanking the Lord for another beautiful day for allowing me this blessing.  To be able to see the beauty that HE has in store me in such a little space, right here in front of my house??  Can you imagine the BEAUTY He has in store for YOU and me out there?  AMAZING!!!!  The Lord has shown me so many ways in how He works, and who He represents.... don't worship the creation any more than worshiping it's CREATOR!!  The Lord blesses each and every one of us, in all sorts of ways... we just gotta look and find it, even in the teeniest of all places.

Photo: ❤️❤️❤️ Happy Aloha Friday!! It's a beautiful day today... The view of my pond this morning. Enjoy this day that The Lord has made... Let us REJOICE and be glad in it!!! ❤️❤️❤️ #jesuslovesme #jyosjourney #livelaughlove #mygarden #breastcancer

My Day Shift Nurses

There were 2 nurses that took care of me during my stay at Queens, during the day shift hours.  Their names were Olivia and Meriel. New friendships were made...gonna miss them. Meriel, I think I've met her before, just haven't pin point exactly where yet, so looks soooo familiar to me, but I didn't say anything to her about that.  Maybe someone on here will recognize her?  Olivia, such a sweet, loving and funny nurse.  She was taught by my night shift nurse, Desna (so no wonder she knows how to treat her patients *wink*).  But Olivia turns out to be a neighbor of a friend of mines on FB.  Small world.  :)  I was totally blessed to have great nurses that took such good care of me!! Gonna miss these girls.  I've promised them that I'd return and visit with them in the future.  I intend to keep my promise.  :)  Thank You, Jesus... It was all orchestrated by YOU!!  This photo was taken of us on the last day of my stay at the hospital.  Ready to go home.

I have also been OFF of narcotics, and only taking Tylenol for pain. Please continue to pray for quick healing, so that surgery #2 (implants), will take place soon, but in the Lord's timing. Thank You and God Bless!!!

So heres today's update for Jen Young. She is doing really well and is going to be discharged tomorrow, Sunday mid day. She is now eating solid food on here own, been able to make "#2", get out of bed on her own and also walk & do what she needs to do on here own in the bathroom. Her energy is high and she as positive about life as always. She's praising The Lord in everything and giving glory back to Him in all things. God has been so amazing through this whole process but to actually see what He has been doing these last 4 days is just awesomely mind blowing. Thank you to all of you that have prayed, visited, drop off meals, picked up and drop off the boys, sent flowers and gift to is. We are just so touched by your out pouring off love. God bless you and your families. We love you all so very much. This as been one of the most rewarding week for Jen, myself and the boys. Praise Jesus for everything!

Post Op Day 2 - Visitors and Gifts.... WOW!!!

Update from Charlie:  Jen had so many visitors today, that now she is zonked out tired. Praise The Lord. Thank you to all of Jen Young, Chazz Young and my friends and family for your prayers, for visiting us and for sending the wonderful gift over these last two days. Jen is doing very well, her pain levels are lower, but she won't be able to move her arms for 2-3 weeks. We will most likely be discharged on Sunday. She wants me to tell everyone that, she loves you all very dearly and can't thank you enough for your love and support...

My update at the end of the day:

A blessed day as usual!! The day began with me passing gas! Praise The Lord!! They then removed my catheter. They then took me outtah bed, and got me on my feet. After being bed ridden for the last 2 days, I was a little queasy! Nonetheless, they had me walking around for about 10 minutes, and then back in bed. Cathlyn & Kerry showed up, with flowers a balloon and lots of hugs and smiles!! Cath helped me make my hair look pretty again, and drew in my eyebrows. Kerry talked stories with Charlie! Then sister Kanani showed up, walked right over from work!! Even tho I met this girl several months ago, we immediately bonded like glue!! God is good!! It was nice to talk stories with them all. Then Ann and Alia Ann came with yummy white cheddar popcorn, prunes, balloon, and lots of smiles!! It was nice to see them both!! Then I got a surprised visit from my brother Mario, who wrote me a prayer in the form of a song, and serenaded it to me!! Very original, Mario!! Don't worry, my husband was rt there in the room, as he sang to me!!... He also brought me some yummy chocolates... U know me so well!! Lol!! Sister Dorita also visited with flowers and lots of smiles. That was nice to see her!! Then Janet came in and sat and talked stories with us. We then was blessed with the visitations of Kimberly and Greg, who Greg had to keep leaving the room because they had to check my chest several times. Don't worry Greg, u didn't miss anything!! Lol!! Sis Christine came in along with Pastor Joe! Maite and Orson then came in, whom we were so blessed to come along side them and lift up Orson's mama!! I got to also talk on the phone with my sister in Japan, Corrina, and later surprised by a basket of flowers from her and her family!! We are so blessed by the many texts, emails, flowers, comments, visits, all in who the form of The Lord comes in!! Thank u for being by our side.... We continue to pray a heap of prayers upon each and everyone of u!!! God Bless!!!
