I got the Gypsy from HSN the day it was released! I absolutely love mine. I haven't had any major technical problems with it at all (knock on wood). If you hang around the Cricut Message Board you'll learn an incredible amount of info about using the "G". You'll also hear alot of pros and cons. Personally, I wouldn't give mine up for anything! I don't use my Cricut machines without it at all anymore! I don't know if I could :) You do need a computer to update the G when the updates are released. If you have any specific questions - just ask! Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to your comments. I saw the Gypsy commercials and I really thought it looked like fun but then I thought I don't need to spend $$ on that new gadget. I work alot with the DS and get along fine. Then last month I was messing around on EBay and saw a Gypsy with 10 minutes left on the auction. The bid was $150 for NEW factory sealed in the box. I had not seen one for under $229 so I made a bid thinking I will never get it for a max of $175 with free shipping and all of the cables. Guess what? I won. I got it about 2 weeks ago and I have NOT been able to do more than charge it up and register it online so I could get my 200 bonus Cricut reward points and get an update. I had purchased Make-The-Cut for a project that DS or Gypsy or Cricut cartridges would not work. MTC is really nice. I was able to pull in an outline template and easily turn it into a cut file. When I get that project finished, I will work on learning the Gypsy. My advice...if you want the Gypsy...keep you eye on EBay!
ReplyDeleteI have had mine since November and love it. I have watched lots of videos on how to use it and they have helped.
ReplyDeleteHey Jen! Get it!!! :} Please buy it and learn it and teach me how to use it! LOL...been on the fence about getting this too. I just need you to tell me why I need to get one!
