Awhile back, I received a cute lil' Hawaiian TAC stamp set from a reader of mines, Barb. It was so sweet of her to send it my way - and I have finally created a card with the stamp set. It's a retired set, so I guess it is now a collectors item for me. LOL!! I made this card for Barbara, to thank her for her generosity in sending this adorable set my way.
The DP is from DCWV - love all the glitter on those papers!!! The Scallop shaped card was created using my Spellbinder Scallop Nesties (I folded the card stock in half and cut both panels at the same time), the Circle is also a Nestie die cut. The "thank you" sentiment is also from TAC. I stamped in black, and then went over the letters with my green marker.
Now I gotta get working on my projects for tomorrow's class. I have the Glama Gurlz arriving.... are you wondering who the Glama Gurlz are? Well - they are my former Hawaiian TAC downline of course! So sweet of them to ditch TAC and join me....
I have to go and think up the projects... so, I better get to work!!! Can't wait to share them all with you later....
Toodaloo!!!
Adorable round aloha card Jen! Have fun tomorrow! Sounds like so much fun! Deb
ReplyDeleteP.S. Do you know where to get or sell a "Mahalo" stamp?
its too cute !
ReplyDeleteCute stamp Jen, I love the way you colored her! =)
ReplyDeleteTerrific Jen! I just got my nesties today so I will have to try this shape card!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super cute card Jen! I think that stamp and paper are adorable. Why do companies retire the cute stamps? geez:)
ReplyDeleteI admire you so much Jen for being able to make a cute card, post it, and write a blurb on it daily. Today you posted not only once but 3 times. You are "Wonder Women" in disguise. I have a hard enough time updating my family blog once a month. Well, this is another awesome card. Since I am a "local" at heart this is my favorite one of course. The little "waihini" is so cute. (Is that how you spell girl in Hawaiian? Close enough right?) I cannot beleive that TAC retired this set. Do you know of anyone that has the set that is willing to part with it?
ReplyDeleteYeah, they should take this card out of retirement - cute card, Jen.

ReplyDeleteOMG!! I so love this one, Jen! First off...I wish I had found TAC before that set was retired! Second...you have now inspired me to use my Nesties to make one of these circle cards! :0)

@ Deborah: Try Mari n' Me... they've got tons of Hawaiian Themed designs. I do plan on bringing in more of the Hawaiian Themed Designed stamps that "Create IN Me" carries - so you might wanna check back when I receive them and upload to Little C's.
ReplyDeletealoha,
Jen
@ Colleen:
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment!! Thanks for making me feel good, and not bad about not doing more things around the house instead of blogging....LOL The correct spelling of the Hawaiian Word of "female" is actually "Wahine" - but yes, you were super close. Most people that are not from here don't even know the word at all. =0)
I've em'd you with a some tips on how to up keep your family blog. Didn't want to bore everyone else reading this part. LOL... so check it out, and let me know what you think.
aloha,
jen
I've always thought of you as Super Girl! And Fabulous Girl, and Funny Girl, and Super Talented Girl, and Super Blogging Buddy Girl, shall I go on??? LOL Love ya! Curt
ReplyDeleteToo bad this set is retired, it's adorable & you did an awesome job on this card! I gotta try making one of these round scallop cards when my round nesties come in. I think it's on the slow boat from China! Hahahaha!!!!! Luv that paper!
ReplyDeleteCute card! Love the Hawaiian girl.
ReplyDeleteJen this card is super cute! She reminds me of you!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That is such a cute card! I have got to get myself a cuttlebug and some nesties. I really want to be able to make round cards and such without all the hassle of cutting them by hand! I love that palm tree with girl image, it's so stinkin' cute!
ReplyDeleteI have one of these girls but in mini size. I need to get her out and use it. Thanks for the reminder! It's too cute!!
ReplyDelete:-)
Aloha Jen,
ReplyDeleteLove that shape of the card and everything else.
And, that's great for you and your girls that you are all staying together. Cool new name, Glama Gurlz!
