It's the last day of the month... but it's NOT TO LATE to get TAC's August SOTM - see flyer in my sidebar. I am going to be posting the SOTM for September this weekend, so be on a lookout for that.... I have some great ideas brewing!!!!
OK, now for the stuffs you've been waiting for. I have 2 cards to share - since I missed posting yesterday, I thought it would be nice to share these 2 cards. I have been really interested in adding more layer my creations, and also trying to improve on my coloring skillz. I don't suck, but it doesn't have that much depth to it. So, I'm trying, and you can see what I mean with these 2 cards that I've worked on. I'm not too good with the layering part, as I don't want my card to look over bearing. But when I see other works out there, I see that they have layers on there, and it looks perfect, ya know? Like it's layered in all the right places. Maybe I'm not a layering type of girl. But ok, here's the cards...
A Bella.... On this card, I try and do some coloring technique that I've never done before. To get me going, I browsed some sites, and picked out a Blog Sistah that has inspired me some. My Blog Sistah of inspiration is Ana of Ink A Stamp. I'm sure you've already seen her stuff, but if you haven't, need to go on over, but wait - don't forget a napkin to wipe them drool off your lips. This girl has awesome coloring skills, and her layering is in all the right places (just like I said earlier). She's able to add a "tinge" of coloring in all the right places. She's got the eye and the talent for it, and it is just awesome.
Card Info: The silk flowers are from TAC's Asst'd Bitty Blossom (D437), 100 in a set. CB's embossing folder - Spots n' Dots, Bella - Prezzibella, DS Paper - Whipper Snapper, Sentiment - TAC's Trendy Greetings (T2144), Brad - SU!, Cardstock - TAC, Colored with prismacolor pencils and marvy markers.
Here is my next card. I try and do more layering on this one, and the coloring.... ugh... not too happy with it. I need more practicing... but here's start, eh?!
Card Info: Whipper Snapper - mouse stamp, and DS Paper (reverse of above card's), sentiment was printed with my computer printer. Butterfly stamp is of TAC's Level C set.... Colored with Prismacolor pencils, and Marvy Markers.
I went into town today, and stopped over at Cute Sutffs (since I was on THAT side of the island). I spent a little of Charlie's money... and came home with a smile on my face. I will have to get to work on some of the stuffs I bought. I feel like the stamping world is caving in on me, and I have sooo much to make, but no time to do it - but that's only cause I keep buying every darn thing in site. I was probably feeling some empathy spending pains from Adrian.... she's on strike right now, if you haven't heard.
Oh well... have a great weekend ladies!!! Happy END of the month!!! Tomorrow is September!!! YIKES!!!!!
